Acara Aquatic Festival Special
A Tale of Four Different Acaras
You'll find me in the Gallery of Evil,
My name is Vira and I'm lethal,
I'll make you ugly with my magic mirrors,
You'd be lucky if your new look doesn't make you quiver.
You'll address me as Princess Fernypoo,
And I'm the best at playing Cheat!
My opponents haven't got a clue,
That I'm the best to be beat!
Have you ever been to this wondrous place?
Look for Roberta, she'll show you around with grace.
Without her, Faerieland would have never been saved,
Come to The Scrollery, you'll be surely amazed.
You'll know my expertise if you play NeoQuest,
I cast spells with ease, and I'm well dressed,
They call me Mipsy, and I'm a wizard,
When in trouble, I quickly cast blizzards.
Granny Hopbobbin the Acara
An Acara so generous and kind,
Granny's always helping those in need,
The most selfless Neopian you'll find,
With plenty of Neopets to feed.
Organizing charity corner,
Is a favourite hobby of hers,
Always looking for the next donor,
Being magnanimous as she prefers.
From winter holiday presents,
To autumn school drives,
Granny fills boxes of contents,
In item groups of fives.
Her bespectacled gaze,
Is a calm and friendly sight,
Eagerly counting the days,
Til the next giveaway night.
The Story of Roberta
Amongst the scrolls stands a maiden fair,
She’s blue of skin with lustrous hair,
A princess and a diplomat,
But Roberta longed for more than that.
As a young niece of the Wisest King,
this Acara had most everything.
She’d read it all, scroll after scroll,
But to be a sorceress was her goal.
Under the tutelage of Seradar,
this mage apprentice travelled far.
She teamed up with a brave young knight,
and the Darkest Faerie they did fight.
From Meridell to Altador,
The Darkest Faerie raged her war.
Just like the tales now widely known,
Roberta turned her back to stone.
With powers proven and victory won,
Roberta felt she’d had her fun,
She came back home to dear Brightvale,
and her humble store with scrolls for sale.
The Island Acara
Island time and windward skies
Abound the archipelago around
Mystery Island; on one such isle
Belongs an Acara’s campground.
We see him from passing ships,
Though few can actually attest
To visiting his atoll that sits
On the horizon’s oceanic crest.
The Island Acara’s white markings
Juxtaposed against his golden fur
Almost completely camouflage
Him with the palms trunked ashore.
The wind chimes on his abode
Chatter like the Beekadoodles;
His gold jewellery sways in tune,
Confidently with his self-approval!
All this time we have known him,
We have yet to learn his name.
Still, we wave as we sail past him,
And he waves back just the same.
The Maraquan Acara: A Master of Maractite Marvels
Lying on the ocean floor
Is a most amazing store.
It sells splendid weaponry
Sure to meet each battler's needs.
The owner who purveys fine wares
Is an Acara who shares
Grand knowledge of the items sold.
They're worthwhile buys, I'm told!
"How may I help you today?
Would you like a Maractite Mace?
No, not that? May I suggest
A great Maractite Throwing Net?"
I decide upon a sword
And a cool Maractite Cord.
I know they'll help me in my fights.
Victory will be in sight.
This Acara shall help pets
Win their strifes with shields and nets.
If you're a skilled warrior,
Then stop and pick up a sword.
Acara Day Together
Acara are truly everywhere,
With Maraquan in the sea,
And Faerie in the air.
Woodland in the forest,
With us, all of Neopia they share.
So one day of every year,
We take the time to stop and say,
To stop and for the Acara cheer,
For a species that we hold so dear.
Acara are truly everywhere,
With Island in the South,
And Snow in the North.
Swamp Gas in a cave mouth,
All of the Acara come forth to celebrate.
The party is always so diverse,
With Acara coming from every land,
To get together, celebrate, converse,
Over another year that has passed, so very grand.
Acara are truly everywhere,
But there is one place they will always be,
In our heart, they will always have space to share,
The one place they will always together be.
Happy Acara Day
To My Faerie Acara
A friend since the beginning -
More like family.
Loves dressing up, modelling
Many new outfits.
Primps and preens her fur and wings
With a smile upon her face,
My true faithful companion,
Taking to the skies.
Creating arcs through the air,
Spreading her wings and soaring,
Waving down at me.
She is showing off by now.
I am used to it.
An Acara Summer
The Acara awakes
Sitting up in glee
It’s his special day
And a day by the sea
Throwing open his window
The sun is sitting high
They’re going to have so much fun!
Under the cloudless sky
His friends assembled
For their favourite pastime
What will they find today?
Treasures or maybe a dime!
In their element, they glide
From isle to isle
Not finding any gold, yet
Basking with smiles
Acara Aqua Arrival
Acara's Aqua party time!
Splashing around, weathers fine.
Celebrate poolside, it's festival!
Outside fun is best of all.
Watersports are today's theme,
Even Vira has stopped her evil scheme.
And joined in with all the rest,
As when it comes to parties, Acaras best!
Fernypoo is lounging about,
Fauna dancing, prancing about.
Mipsy casts a spell of fun,
And Roberta enjoying the midday sun.
Everyone is invited to join the gang,
To celebrate, rejoice this day with a bang.
The waters fine, let;'s take that dive,
What a day to be alive!
24 hours, once every year,
We join together, laugh and cheer.
And all as one seize this feeling,
Water, joy, and sunshine healing!
Elon Hughlis: An Acaran Hero
As this year’s Altador Cup comes to an end,
Acaras are all cheering for a common friend.
Elon Hughlis, the captain for the Maraquan Team,
is an Acaran hero who is living the dream.
Elon completes a ritual right before every single game;
He eats a Spicy Radish Salad and calls his opponents “lame”.
When the ball’s in his hands, Elon takes the spotlight
He refuses to pass and aims when the timing’s right.
Despite the fact that Elon comes off as an arrogant snob,
He’s greeting after every game by an adoring mob.
Once the Altador Cup ends, Elon will spend his time by the sea.
After all, there’s no place an Acara would rather be.
One may wonder why Acaras think he’s so great.
He is notorious for being a snobby teammate!
You see, Elon’s brave attitude and love for the sea
Makes him a role model that Acaras desire to be.
While your pet Acara may support your team,
Remember that they cheer for Elon secretly.
He embodies the spirit of an Acara: free and bold.
Despite his attitude, his antics never get old!
An Ode to Princess Fernypoo
There once was a girl with sapphire fur,
a crown on her head and riches galore.
Of card games, she was the world’s connoisseur—
the best in her class, someone to adore.
Princess Fernypoo, the young lady’s name,
was fond of winning and deplored defeat.
She’d practice and practice her most-loved game:
a tabletop affair known best as Cheat!
Her main competitors were oh-so fierce,
sly grins blazing as they fibbed left and right.
Fernypoo’s efforts would distract and pierce—
their decks became fuller as hers stayed light.
Soon enough, she would play her final card.
Delighted fanfare would stun the Acara,
trumpets and music from a gleeful bard.
She was a winner, a tale for the era!
Fernypoo is a force to be reckoned,
of all the games, she shan’t finish second.
Mipsy the Acara Adventurer
With aching legs, I climb a hill --
I've climbed many before --
but none so tall, nor none so wild --
this is the first that I've cared for.
Shivering grass grazes my face,
boughs knock my hat askew,
potions rattle in my bag --
All unnoticed but morning's dew
which touches each soft glancing blade
of Meridell's finest hill;
I call my companion, for I must stop,
and drink nature's goodwill.
He humours me, sword held in hand,
a father's gift to child.
I seize a blade of the sweet grass,
a gifted piece of wild.
The road calls, and the hill fades
as aching legs go forth.
On days to come, I shall reflect
upon those stolen moments' worth.
