Cybunny Day Special

Cybunny Rules 101
by singintomymouth

A proper young Cybunny
Exudes effortless charm,
But assuming it is effortless
Is stupendously wrong.

A Cybunny’s soft coat,
Which gleams in the light,
Requires one million brushes per morning
And two million more per night.

A Cybunny’s swift hops,
As graceful as lilting butterflies,
Requires training from the ancient masters
Of the local Cybunny Hop School franchise.

A Cybunny’s demure smile,
So mysterious you could paint it,
Requires six years of orthodontia, retainers,
And headgear to contain it.

A Cybunny’s best jokes,
Always witty and suave,
Must be workshopped with six friends for two months
At the Secret Cybunny Improv.

In short, we all know
A Cybunny’s character is very polite.
But that’s because they read this book almost every day
To get it right.

Where a Starry Cybunny Gazes
by poemsaboutparrots

From a hilltop that every spring sprouts Aurora Lilies
Although when she gazes upward, they sleep.
From a tree that flings pink blossoms to the skies
from a tree that takes from the earth, refuses to keep

the wind from its hollow song. Her, climbing to pursue
a comet to come undone in her paws. Her, who misses
every time but still watches it burn white, then blue.
Her, who smiles, looks onward, and then wishes.

Through a tapestry of forest, through a ring of fireflies.
Through clouds that cling like wet cloth. Through fog thick
enough to change the shape of the moon, though her wide eyes
reduce a full moon to trembling silver, the rising sun to a wick.

From a hilltop that every winter goes grey with light frost.
She sits with her head tilted toward the December sky,
parses from the murk constellations, bold, bright but lost,
watches the Whoots fly low and the Korbats soar high.

On a bed of fragrant clover, in the cold embrace of a stream
meandering into the night. On a path she does not know
well enough to take, although she has seen it in a dream.
In a mess of stargazer lilies that she has learned to grow

to last her through the spring, before she returns to her hill
and realizes that the stars are the same. Still, they endure
through the uncertain haze of the seasons, that she will
too, once she counts the final star to fill in her fur.

An Ode to the Cybunny
by sheepmad4eva

On this most very special day,
On a day I hope for you is sunny,
The first poem I’ve ever written,
Dedicated to the bouncy Cybunny.

This most adorable little rabbit,
With its neck adorned in fur,
Hops up and down Terror Mountain,
In a joyful, frozen blur.

The pet can be painted into many different colours,
From woodland, to cloud, to fruit,
Yet even as a grisly mutant,
The red-eyed Cybunny is quite cute.

Frolicking through the crunchy snow,
Thinking of what things she could do,
She’d quite like to play a game with you,
Snow Wars I or II?

There used to be a Beauty Contest,
As these pets are so bright and fair,
But the Faerie and the Fire spoilt it,
Karina, the “common-coated” Blue, won fair and square.

And so we arrive to Cybunny Day,
When the rarest of pets hop with bliss,
But quick, move fast, you might not see one,
Their pretty colours and sparkling eyes, you shan’t want to miss.

There's No One Like The Cybunny!
by walkingtravesty_

Hop to the left, hop to the right.
No matter how many times you’ve seen it,
The Cybunny is such a wonderful sight.

Tails of all colours,
White, pink, or blue.
You wouldn’t believe me if I said the Cybunny could be polka-dotted too!

Now I know what you’re wondering,
“What’s so special about thee?”
The Cybunny cannot only hop, but it can look like a tree!

Dress it however you want,
The Cybunny remains fluffy.
Unless you dress it like a mutant, then it’s not looking so funny!

See, the Cybunny is so wonderful.
There’s a carnival just for you to see.
There’s no creature like the Cybunny, I can guarantee.

The Carnival is Here!
by heartswold

Sat along a window ledge,
a Cybynny softly sighed,
T’was raining warfs and meowclops—
there was no going outside.

Water raced down the roped-off streets,
the benches, drenched and dull;
They never got a chance to start
the Cybunny Carnival!

No dancing in the crowds today,
the songs all left unsung,
The Cybunny flopped down her head,
“This stinks like rainbow dung!”

With one last sigh, she turned away,
 Thinking of all she’d miss,
when suddenly, DING-DONG!, a ring,
“Now who in Neopia is this!?”

The Cybunny opened her door,
curious but wary…
And one by one her friends hopped in,
all soaked and wet, but merry!

Streamers! Music! Hopping Games!
All set up in a hurry,
And before she knew it
she was in a fun-filled fluffy flurry!

They feasted on their favourite foods,
they’d emptied out the stores,
the fun seemed never-ending,
while the rain raged on outdoors.

The Cybunnies all raised their juice
and said with whoops of cheer,
“If we can’t go outside today,
we’ll bring the party here!”

A Cybunny Experience
by wurmsrus

Ted the Cybunny looked up from his book
He’d been reading all evening
But then his house shook

His ears perked up quickly and nose began sniffing
He saw nothing wrong... But what was he missing?
Just then the house made a great creak and a groan
Ted jumped from the couch, nearly breaking his gnome!

He climbed to his feet as the ground started shaking
“Is this a Neopian plot in the making?”
He stumbled across the new etched marble floor
His paw was unsteady as he reached for the door

He looked high and low for the source of the shake
His neighbours looked, too, as they reeled from the quake
They all looked so nervous, startled and scared
Most cowered in doorways, or simply, just stared

Now under his feet, Ted could see a great crack
Right up to his porch and stretched right around back
His eyes grew quite wide as he grasped what it was
“An earthquake!” he shouted, as the neighbourhood buzzed
They buzzed with excitement, with fear and with glee
Neopian earthquake? There’d only been three!

The fur on his chest stood up on its end
He wished for his family or even his friend
The rest of the night Ted sat upright in bed
Curled up with his padded shield over his head

His house had been damaged
But not past repair
The roof was intact, all but one tiny square
Thankful and happy was all that he felt
“I’ll fix my home with my utility belt!”

The shaking had stopped
Oh, what a relief!
The tremor was awful, but awfully brief
And so he went back to his book long forgotten
A book about tales of a bunny named Cotton

A Sunny Cybunny Day
by dekucorey

What better way
to start this day?
If you are a Cybunny.

Every year is unique.
Fresh neggs painted runny
hidden in sight to seek.

What to nibble on
Everything looks so yummy.
Even carrots dipped in honey!

They fill their tummy
and wiggle their ears.
Don't they look pretty funny?

Assemble this holiday.
In the flowers they play
as a colourful array.

Surely a Sunny
Cybunny Day
is underway!

the cybunny in the moon
by okayls

on the side of kreuldor near us all
in the shadow of the sun
never seen, name only whispered,
thump, thump, thump

in the shadow of the sun
no sense of day or night
in the mortar, with her pestle
thump, thump, thump

no sense of day or night
it's been this way forever
until her work is done,
thump, thump, thump

it's been this way forever
looking to find the cure,
the medicine for mortality,
thump, thump, thump

looking to find the cure,
the Cybunny in the moon,
tasked by faeries long ago,
thump, thump, thump

the Cybunny in the moon,
with her little wooden hammer,
mixes the potion with compassion,
thump, thump, thump

with her little wooden hammer,
whispers spell over her creation,
on the sider of kreuldor near us all,
thump, thump, thump.

The Plight of Princess Lunara
by secant

Hear ye, hear ye
Have you heard?
The Princess of Shenkuu disappeared
Without a word.

The Emperor scrambled to call
For his trusted sleuths:
Amateur detectives and heroes
Filled the booth.

They climbed cherry trees,
They checked the stairs.
They looked under bridges,
They tried everywhere.

But where is Princess Lunara?
The clues do not lie.
Something horrible has happened.
Who's the bad guy?

But wait, someone shouts,
They've solved the case!
Princess Lunara was simply
... hiding in place.

My Blue Cybunny Plushie
by bannook

My first ever toy I was given,
Was a Blue Cybunny Plushie,
I was smitten,
Its cute little pink eyes,
And soft white fur,
This is my most valued prize.

This Cybunny plushie,
Goes where I go,
To Terror Mountain Peak to get a slushie,
Or deep down below,
To Maraqua,
Where the ocean currents flow.

After a hard day of play,
My Cybunny plushie broke!
When the rip happened-I cannot say,
But I cried till my face was soaked.

When my tears were spent,
I remembered about Donny,
And started my assent.

I got to his shop,
And asked if my plushie could be fixed,
He winked at me,
Replied,
"Watch this!"

In a blink of an eye,
My Blue Cybunny Plushie was like new,
I was so happy I almost cried.
Now I know I will never part,
With my Cybunny plushie,
I love it will all of my heart.
