The Colorful Uni

There was a young Uni who sought one day,
To paint herself colors, all except grey,
She went to a land where she could dye,
Her fur deepest black, or blue as the sky,
Through land of the faeries she walked,
It was the fountain of rainbow water she stalked.

Stepping into its waters she felt a stir,
From deep inside to the tips of her fur,
The water swirled round as it fell from above,
Onto her a new color it would shove,
A power unknown but beloved by all,
From the waters she felt an invisible call.

Dreaming of all but could only choose one,
She closed her eyes, one choice and it's done,
She thought about jelly, it could be fun,
Or maybe choose fire and burn hot as the sun,
Faerie would enlarge her tiny wings,
Stealthy would grant many iron rings.

The moment to decide was drawing near,
To find that color she would hold so dear,
Gold would turn her shiny and bold,
Perhaps turning water would be too cold,
If she wanted to shine she could pick glowing,
Chocolate would make her mane a little more flowing.

So many colors she still had to consider,
But only one of them could be the winner,
She thought to herself, why settle for one,
And then with a smile her decision was done,
With a quick jump she emerged a new beauty,
With multiple rich colors, a Rainbow Uni!

Solarin the Uni: Escaping Faerieland

Uptight but always en garde, 
Solarin's the most loyal Uni to have ever starred,
At the service of the Wise Old King,
His golden mane glistens with his cherub wings.

With a milky coat and stunning blue eyes,
Solarin is so glorious up in the skies,
No one braver could ever dream to exist, 
His well-kempt outlook is just an assist.

At the order of the king: Faerieland is on sight,
Solarin accompanies Roberta on this big flight,
But in spite of the prowess that we can all see, 
His timing of arrival was the worst it could be. 

The Darkest Faerie has just declared a battle,
Solarin blitzes and shoots behind the castles,
Alas, in the midst of the chaos, tragedy is avowed,
His passenger loses grip and falls past the clouds.

Accidents happen - this we all agree and know,
Solarin is still the epitome of a Uni beau,
Sadly, his failed escape weighs on as a burden,
His memory commits Roberta as his only guerdon.

The Selfless Uni (Happy Uni Day!)

There is a uni who is world renowned
For being more selfless than any that could be found.
She is entirely pink and her name is Rose. 
Everyone recognizes her wherever she goes. 
She does adoptions at the Neopian Pound. 

While most unis prefer to shop for clothes and flowers, 
Rose is at the pound everyday working sixteen hours. 
She doesn't care about fashion to any degree;
She prefers to unite a Neopet with a family. 
Her persistence and diligence are her superpowers. 

She always believes that when push comes to shove, 
Having one specific thing can be enough. 
It is not clothes, jewelry, or our looks. 
Nor is it money, makeup, or good books. 
What's most important is having someone's love.

Tawnia the Island Uni

scavenges the beach
picking up odd driftwood
and the flotsam she can reach

She'll find seashells to polish
which she'll then quickly sell
the money that these items bring
allow her to live well

It's nice to make a living
with little care or strife
you might not earn much money
but you live a happy life

So Tawnia will stroll the beach
a hunting all the while
picking up her bits and bobs
and always with a smile

The ocean parts its waves at once,
The riptides forfeit their full force.
A Maraquan Uni surfaces at shore,
The brilliant equine turned seahorse.

The water is calmed by her presence,
The sea breeze chimes like a hymn.
No purer strength has ever arose
From the dark abyss of the ocean.

Her gold horn gleams in the sunlight,
A welcome sense for the Uni who bides
Her time at the depths of Maraqua,
Otherwise alone and pressurized.

The silent seabed below is her home,
And trips to the surface are a rarity.
Equally rare is land dwellers’ vision
Of the majestic Maraquan Uni.

Wonder of a Woodland Uni

Amidst the gifts that nature brings,
Few sights are found so rare.
Than Uni blessed by sun’s own light,
A creature lovely, fair.

She moves amongst the whispered bough,
With flowers in her wake.
Blossoms fall to emerald grass,
With each of mane’s own shake.

Like woodland stream her hooves do sound,
A bubbling, lightest tread.
Every hue, from green to gold,
Dark indigo, bright red.

She blends within the bowing trees,
For woodland her coat seems.
She is the creature of the woods,
Awash in forest dreams.

A pallid shine, the spiral horn,
That crowns atop her mane.
She seems a vision in the woods,
And long may Uni reign!

Uni Nightsteed

The Nightsteed rears, all hooves ablaze,
His red eyes glower, intensifying his gaze.
Heels screech to a stop and then,
Everything becomes silent all of a sudden,
A shadow begins to appear from beyond the haze.

“Nightsteed, my loyal companion!”, a voice calls out.
From the darkness a tall figure did sprout,
Skin of red clay and jewelry in gold,
He truly was a sight to behold.
Who else but Prince Jazan, without a doubt.

Qasala is in trouble, it’s not difficult to see,
A curse sweeps over from land to sea,
It plagues the city with no signs of stopping,
Only fear and destruction it does bring,
For at night the citizens turn into beasts.

It’s up to the duo to save the city,
The noble prince and his faithful steed,
Whose wings are tattered, bandages dance,
Mane wild and tangled, a fearsome stance.
With Jazan on his back, he will charge to victory.

When order is restored, all is said and done,
The curse overturned, the battle won,
The Uni was unable to turn back from the form he took.
Luckily he didn’t mind his new forever look,
His new life has thus now begun.
