Meaning the of the pack is near.
Long winter days have come and gone,

The mighty lead lupes giving a howl,
The others join in,even the old give a growl!
New life, new hope of a better tomorrow.

Lupe pups will play and learn to be strong,
Although they are silly,they know they belong.
The great shadow leader will keep a watchful eye,

The Rise of a NeoQuest Hero

A humble young Lupe, and even a little bit shy,
With an adventuring mind, none could deny.
Old rusty sword in paw, he started from zero,
But now behold, he is NeoQuest Hero.

Neopians will say, he always had a heart of gold,
But against the enemy, he’d go stone cold.
Be it imp or monster, he would slash and slay,
Wanting nothing more than to save the day.

Talk to him and he’ll say he’s there to protect,
The fame, the fans, those are just a side effect.
Bringing peace to the people was top of mind,
Rewards and treasure, he politely declined.

With a spirit so mighty and brave,
He easily conquered the Dank Cave.
He sped through the Haunted Plains,
Never complaining about aches or pains.

From the Hills of Jub to the Desert of Roo,
There was nowhere he’d stop, nothing he couldn’t do.
The Jungle Ruins were simply no match,
Why, he escaped without a single scratch.

Now all the battles are said and done,
Behind him, Neopia has united as one.
He inspired us with a great NeoQuest,
Now together, we’ll do all the rest.

The Cheating Lupe of Bagatelle

Run by a Lupe. I might as well
See if I win. Why not? I might
Win prizes--dreams are in my sight!

Named Harker, he's a homely guy.
His boots are ripped---I don't know why!
He has a little bug to throw---
That Mootix, in for tons of woe!

The insect tumbles to the side.
When I complain, the Lupe is snide!
"You dummy! It's a game of chance!"
Says one in dirty, ragged pants.

While leaving, something comes to me.
The game is rigged, as I can see!
The stall is propped up to the side.
I feel for anyone who tried.

The Howling Lupe

I spy you from behind the Brain Tree,
Why, how strangely you remind me,
A sigh - how fondly of somebody, 
With burs, fur tangly, paws muddy.

On and on I track your paw prints,
Through the colored leafy tints, 
Though you leave behind no hints,
In chewy leaves of peppermints. 

I spot your lamplight lantern eyes,
I see through your hooded disguise,
You make no noise, no loud cries,
A long-waited for, wanted surprise!

Two starry eyes, a crescent moon,
Howling cries at the full moon,
Accompany me, I ask this boon,
At midnight like darkest noon.

Under the bright and waxing moon,
Oh how I eagerly await you soon,
Under the white and waning moon,
I think I left you there too soon.

My pointy-eared dear Faerie friend,
The woods here I loyally defend,
Cannot be fenced in or penned,
The forest growing without end.

See my long fluffed swishy tail,
I said, "Stay on the path, don't fail,"
The righteous path will still avail, 
Out hunting on the happy trail! 

I was haunting in the Haunted Woods,
Went deeper in than knew I should,
Another beneath a red riding hood,
The elfin Faerie kind of the wood…

A kindred spirit of mine I think,
A gut feeling, a trusting instinct,
Like a flame, blown out to extinct,
Over land lines drawn indistinct.

Beneath the brambled furry hide,
A heart like mine still beats inside,
Your eyes, alight and open wide,
Hot breath on the cold air, I sighed.

Your outfit in bright crimson hue
Was Meridellian at first view,
A Lupe like me, at sight I knew,
Yet how I wish to be free like you...

At night quietly on the prowl
Often gazing at the full moon in the sky
Letting their presence be known with a howl

With plenty of treats and presents
On this wonderful Lupe Day!

A Lupe Hero

Brave Tormund brandished his mighty sword,
He’d defend you from any savage hoard.
His blonde hair billowed rough in the wind,
His armour shimmered a metallic tin.

This strapping young Lupe from earthy Meridell,
A village upbringing but not necessarily dull.
Entrusted to go on a most important quest,
Tor did his duty diligently, without rest.

His journey took him through highs and lows,
It was not without true tribulations and blows.
He met many a mentor, who helped him greatly,
To become a knight and fulfil his destiny.

A true hero he is to the common folk,
Was this handsome warrior in decorated cloak.
His swordsmanship praised by faeries and fellow knights alike,
They’d never seen such power in a single strike.

Sir Knight Jeran

With spring around the corner again,
People flock to the rolling hills of Meridell.
With the serene green of Illusens Glade,
And the gentle sound of the castle bell.

Many moons ago, there was a mighty war,
Across these vast lands and beyond.
Standing loyal by King Skarl’s side,
This Lupe was eager to respond.

Sir Jeran was summoned by King Skarl,
To protect Meridell at all cost.
Jeran, along with sister Lisha and friends,
Stood at the ready when the enemy crossed.

There were Draconian ‘pets and Elementals Drackonacks, hordes and much worse.
Lord Darigan, once an ally to Meridell –
The war was anything but terse.

As war waged on, this Lupe stayed true,
Saving Meridell and its people from evil.
Can you believe this transpired in Year 4?
A story so old it feels quite medieval!

On this Lupe Day, I propose a toast,
To this famous Knight who protected all.
Cheers to the great Sir Jeran of Meridell,
For heeding King Skarl’s noble call.

Lupe Day - Celebrating Balthazar!
