Branston the Eyrie
by myncithemonkey

Egotistical, haughty and vain,
Branston is arrogant to the core,
Hours upon hours spent grooming his mane,
A self-proclaimed lord of the dance floor.

Always wearing the trendiest outfits,
Throwing parties deep into the night,
Dancing richly in glamour and glitz,
Under the disco's sparkling light.

Branston is more than a socialite,
The Eyrie knows a card trick or two,
He is well-known for a sneaky sleight,
Used in the card game Cheat against you!

A frequent beauty contest winner,
Branston lives in Neopia's public eye,
He will gladly take you out to dinner,
And boast away until his voice is dry.

Eyrie Day Special!

Eyrie Day Sighting
by lil_reef

An Eyrie sits perched on a cliff,
That ivy climbs in spindly strands,
Staring off into the mysterious abyss,
Imagining far away lands.

His feathers white, shine so bright,
In the morning's sun gleaming.
On the stark cliff he's quite a sight,
One you'd see only while dreaming.

His wings behind his arching back fold,
Resting from a long wary flight,
So graceful and gentle yet so very bold.
To carry him at such grand heights.

Today we admire this graceful creature,
In a day to celebrate their wonder,
They have such amazing, wonderful features,
And now their very own day!

Happy Eyrie Day!

EYRIE DAY
by antelope44

Everyday, should be Eyrie day
You know it's true, their flawless feathers
Righteous aerial acrobatics
Indeed, to be an
Eyrie, is the greatest thing one can be
Don't let those gawking Grarrl's lie to you
A day without an Eyrie is a day wasted
You know it's true now, don't you?

Everyday, should be Eyrie day
Yes! Yes! It's true, Eyrie's are the most glamorous
Ready to fly and flight and fearlessly display their pride
I know you're convinced by all the divine
Eyries, so step in line!
Dig your heels in and join the cry!
All day, everyday, EYRIE DAY!
You know it now, give it a try!

EYRIE DAY! EYRIE DAY!

Eyrie Defender
by antelope44

Eyrie Defender, valiant and brave
Eyes of ferocity, here to save the day
He scans the lands of Neopia
Unafraid

Eyrie Defender, here to save the day
A beak that speaks truth, gallantly surveys
He knows where trouble lurks and evil do-ers lay
Sloth defenders to be unmade

Eyrie Defender, gallantly surveys
With wings swift, he's never far away
He descends upon those in need
His unending crusade

Eyrie Defender, never far away
Always there, never delayed
For even when gone, and taken to flight
Mysterious, and disappeared into the night
Eyrie Defender, defends what is right.

Talinia, Eyrie Warrior and Princess
by _brainchild_

Talinia, noble warrior,
Is belicose. Her bows
Are grandiose, and always sure
To triumph. I suppose
No one escapes the archer's chase,
Her aim so free of flaws.
Her foes shall flee at sunlight's pace---
Her shots allow no pause.

The Bow of Destiny shall boast
Such power. Its divine,
Exquisite force is feared by most.
Its advent is a sign
Of sure defeat. The end is near
For any wretch who tries
To best the Eyrie. Foes are seared
By arrows of demise.

Oh, if you have a feud with her,
Steer clear of piercing bows.
Their might is fearsome, yet so pure.
Surprisingly, her blows
Are righteous---they protect the souls
So innocent. Infused
Within her points are noble goals---
All monsters always lose.

The Littlest Eyrie
by umbrex

On any day of the week,
you can see Eyries soar
because the sky's freedom
is what they adore.

But please don't forget
they all started somewhere.
And please don't forget
that some are still there.

Take a look at any baby Eyrie
and you'll see trepidation.
But when they learn to fly,
it transforms to elation.

Looking down from the cliffs
everything seems so high.
But as they always say,
you can only succeed if you try.

With small wings and a smaller beak
our avian friend prepares to fly.
Just a step, and then a leap
and they're soaring into the sky!

Wind is rushing all about.
The sun shining brightly, too.
And on the littlest Eyrie's face,
the biggest smile's broken through.

Celebrate Eyrie Day!
by yellowstefy

You can see this neopet flying
Across shallow springs.
Soaring across the skies,
With large elegant wings.

Furry, soft, glorious hair.
Quite easy to manage.
A beak with mighty power,
That can sure do some damage.

The Eyrie is powerful,
Largest of them all.
You can hear them in the distance,
Their loud, screeching bawl.

They fly across mountains,
With a spectacular view.
Such a playful neopet,
And very adventurous too.

Come celebrate Eyrie Day,
Give them a fancy dress.
After all its their special day,
Show them off to impress!

Eyries Aren't Eerie
by dragonscales19

No need to be frightened
No need to be scared
The love of an Eyrie
Just can't be compared

Their names may be spooky
Their stature quite big
But their mean temperedness
Is that of a twig

Fierce and proud they may be
But don't be afraid
They enjoy a good game
Not keen to draw blades

They are helpful and brave
They're really quite sweet
Except when they're hungry
Best bring them a treat!

If you're lucky enough
To count one a friend
They're loyal forever
Straight through to the end

So cherish your Eyrie
With all that you've got
Their name may be dreary
But scary they're not!

Eerie Eyrie Day
by skro

When the weather starts to turn
And day gives way to night
When inside pumpkins, candles burn
'Neath black and purple lights

When all the leaves are turning red
And spyders spin their wispy webs
'Mongst decorations for the dead
Sat in their mourning flower beds

When the moon hangs low in the sky
Bright orange with haunting glow
That's when the Eyries come to fly
Swooping through night to and fro

Their silhouettes can be seen above
Beckoning the turn of seasons
Their cries haunt just like mourning doves
Calling without giving reasons

The eeriness of the Eyrie's flight
Marks the start of certain festivities
Celebrations of the night
And mysterious proclivities

The Elderly Eyrie
by geneames1

The elderly Eyrie rocked back in his chair
and beckoned me o'er with a smile
"You look like stranger around here, young pet,
would you like to sit down for a while?"

"I'll tell you how life was when I was a chick,
we'd all play outside until dark
Our toys were some pebbles, or maybe a stick
and we'd play catch or tag for a lark

At home my dear Mother would cook up a meal
and we'd all sit and eat it together
enjoying our bowls of fried grubs and stewed worms
my family, just birds of a feather

But sadly those days have since passed away
Yes sir, those dear times were the best
now tell me goodbye and I'll tell you my friend
To get your darn self off my NEST!!

A Riddle to Ponder - 10th of Collecting
by 0llyness

Gather round, Neopians, let me tell you a riddle,
A riddle to ponder, a riddle to fiddle.

Tell me the species of whom I speak,
One that loves adventure and playing hide-and-go-seek.
The enjoy learning most of all,
And are very, very not small.
They're playful and fun, but be careful my friend,
They can get ferocious if forced to that end.
They have a long history, this species I picked,
From Cerpull to Tatsu to - oops, I almost slipped!
Do you need a hint? I'll tell you one, then,
Go take a pet training and wait at the den!

Part owl, part lion, none horse,
I speak of the Eyrie, of course!

Happy Eyrie Day!

Eyes Of An Eyrie
by amoeldinero2

Soaring fast and soaring high,
Over these clear blue skies,
Monitoring the islands below,
These winged beasts just go, go, go.

Beautiful feathers spring forth from their backs,
Glistening as they fly over head,
They have minds as sharp as tacks,
And bodies built for strong attacks.

The eyes of the Eyrie are always searching for riches,
Whether it comes from the strongest robots or most evil witches,
Always ready to go up against whatever foes lay in wait,
They've spent their lives feasting and training to be great.

So they land on the tropic beaches,
Fighting back against the pirates fire,
The Eyrie came to collect their riches,
Pushing on to claim their gold pile!

Deeper into the forest they go,
Swashbuckling treasure from Krawk Island's chests,
They are hunting hard for the loot,
Unafraid of the pirates' traps and chutes!

While these giants can be gentle,
When they want something, they won't back down,
Battling rain, wind, earth, and fire,
You can bet the eyes of an Eyrie will always find what they desire.

Celebrate Lord Kass this Eyrie Day
by hannahcreep

We celebrate Eyrie Day
But do we think of the best Eyrie?
His name is Lord Kass, of course
But he doesn’t seem very cheery.

A Darigan general who is all powerful
And we all know of his might
But when you think of Lord Kass,
Do you know his plight?

Imagine, helping lead an army
And having it fall to the ground.
Even when he tried to escape,
He was then easily found.

Many do not look up to him,
But I find him a role model.
Lord Kass is an Eyrie of action!
He is not one to dawdle.

So celebrate Eyrie Day
And remember Lord Kass in your heart.
What is a good way to celebrate him?
Playing Whack-a-Kass is a start.

Eyrie Faerie (Eyrie Day Special)
by m0nster_rancher

There once was a yellow Eyrie named Berry
Who always dreamed to be a faerie
Oh all his friends knew
How much his ego grew
When he got painted and became oh so cheery

But there was a problem you see
When he got painted faerie in glee
Berry wasn't his normal self
He had gigantic new wings
And you know what trouble that brings
When you're trying to fly into your house!

When Berry showed his friends
He got laughed at a lot
And poor Berry didn't know why
They struggled to see
How their good friend Berry
Couldn't even use his wings to fly!

So his friends made a pact
To help Berry out
They wanted their big Berry back in motion
So they all chipped in
To help their friend win
And bought him a Yellow Eyrie Morphing Potion!

Ghost Eyrie
by migorz13

Flying deep in the night
A nice phantom sight
Come out to see
The pretty Ghost Eyrie

Beautiful blue glow
Kind of spooky though
Pretty pale eyes
Ones that hypnotize

Spooky strong beak
But still ghostly sleek
A pretty mane flow
With an ominous glow

A nice ghostly tail
So strong yet so pale
Wings quietly moving
A sound quite so soothing

Flying by moon light
What a magnificent sight
