Defenders of Neopia By Fairie1221

The lazy streets of Neopia
Simmer in the midday sun
The inhabitants meander quietly
To get their errands done

A scream cried forth in agony
A shadow covers all
Chills run hither, up each one's spine
The creatures huddle, scared and small

The Shadow Usul laughs in hysteria
Poised to stike the weakest Kiko
The tiny babe quivers in utter fear
Frozen by this terrible show

But, ho! a bright light flashes all a sudden
And atop the highest building appears
The defenders of all Neopia!
The righters of wrong and the driers of tears!

The assorted good guys leap to the ground
Backing the Evil to a corner alone
Till he cackles and leaps into the sky
Threatening, he WILL be back soon

The smallest Kiko is returned to its parents
And the mother looks up to praise these heroes
Only to find a deserted alleyway
But they will always be around,
As everyone knows

The calm is restored, the evil is gone
And the city is peaceful for another day
These heroes won't stop
Till your Neopets are safe
So remember, they are always a phone call away!

Wandering down this sunny road...
By Sagespice13

Wandering down this sunny road
My sky-blue Lupe beside me
Smiling as we run and play
We're in perfect harmony.

Then one day, Jhudora came
And took my Lupe away from me
That evil witch, she stole my friend!
Why did this happen to me?

So I went on a quest to find my Lupe
I had to find him, some how, some way.
The journey seemed quite impossible
But I HAD to find him, today, today!

I wandered on until I found
Jhudora's mighty stone tower.
I was afraid because I knew
That Jhudora had very strong power.

The thought of my Lupe, captured
Gave me the strength to go in
And who was waiting for me when I got inside?
It was Jhudora, on her face, a grin.

I yelled, "Why did you take my Lupe?"
She smiled evilly and said,
"Because I wanted to, and you can't stop me!"
And with that, She hit me on my head.

I woke up in a dim chamber
And to my surprise,
There were many Neopets
That Jhudora had stolen,
Sadness and fear in all their eyes.

I spotted my Lupe and rushed over to him
And asked, "What happened to you?"
"The evil Jhudora has stolen all of us,
But we don't know what she's plannng to do."

"Then I will set you all free!"
I said with courage in my voice.
All these poor pets, without their owners,
I had no other choice.

With a lot of teamwork and hard thinking,
We made a suitable plan.
Some pets seemed doubtful,
So I gave encouragement.
"We can do this, I know we can!"

So we set our plan into action
And with a few close calls,
We got the pets out of the castle
Yes, every one of them, one and all!

We returned the pets to their owners
Who were very greateful and glad.
So are me and my Lupe
But Jhudora, she's pretty mad!

But she won't bother us anymore
The pet owners made her swear
That if she ever comes near again,
We'll send her to jail to the castle in the air!

So now everyone is happy
My Lupe and I are the best of friends
And we always will be
Until the very end!

Fighting the Pant Devil By Dazz_3000

His evil red eyes,
Glaring at me as I walk
Into the dark dome.

My eyes filled with rage,
Claws, a diamond-like steel,
I glare back at him.

The battle begins,
My plastic knife is the first.
It snaps right away…

He pulls out something,
The Staff of Super Nova!?
I run like the wind.

Dodging his every
Move, hoping to not get hit.
Wait, my small mirror!

I pull it out quick,
Reflecting the beams of light.
Thinking this may work.

Just like I planned,
He falls to the ground, beaten.
Victory is mine!!

Something hits my head,
What?! It is an alarm clock!?
It was just a dream…

Well, at least I dream.
Maybe, it might just come true!
Here I come to fight!

The Greatest Wealth By Esterfreak

I trek through the grasses of Mystery Isle,
Laden with merchandise, wearing a smile.
The Tiki Tack Man has rewarded me well,
And there's more good to come today -
I can just tell.
As I head towards the boat
That shall carry me home,
Some instinct is screaming,
"Stay longer and roam!"
I oblige and I bushwack
Through brambles and grass,
Hoping I find something special - and fast!
I rarely would even waste time on some quest,
But this time I know that it's all for the best.
I wander and wonder what I want to find.
I know that I'll know it when it is the time.
That's when I see it - it's nothing much new,
Just a Neohome made out of straw and bamboo.
But I know that it's just
What I've been searching for,
By the curious markings that cover the door.
It doesn't quite look like
Some great hidden treasure,
It's a house with a door
That was painted for pleasure.
Yes, I'm being silly! It's a plain old abode.
No, somehow I know that it leads to great roads.
Before I can move, though,
The door's creaking open.
There's goodness inside,
'Least that's what I'm hopin'.
Out pops a creature, quite young but quite wise,
With bangles and earrings and gold staring eyes.
A Kougra! I know these are fierce as the Skeiths,
With long, gleaming claws and needle-sharp teeth.
But this one is different; he's wild but tame,
He's rarely met others, but sweet all the same.
I open my mouth, to ask about treasure.
"Do you have great goodies
To fill me with pleasure?"
For somehow I know that this is the spot
Where I'm given great riches
And whole treasure pots.
The Kougra then gave me a rare, sacred wealth
As loved as longevity; praised as good health.
Yet in neopoint value it's worth nada; none.
It is used when my money supply is all done.
It's insight and knowledge,
The two most vital gifts.
With which wounds can heal
And hearts can then lift.
Kougra uttered some syllables;
Seventeen all in all.
They flew faster than Pteris;
Were Terror Mount tall.
Then, all in a flash, he had sprinted away,
To inspire the needy for the rest of the day.
I returned to Neopia, aware of one fact
That my previous life, quite simply, had lacked:
"Money and riches are good
***While they last,***
But knowledge has prospered for long ages past."

Defender of Neopia By Owlrain

Walking through the gate
You know you're on a mission
Fighting crime, kicking butt...
As soon as you get permission.

You walk up to your supervisor
To hear the latest tale
Justice needs to be served
And you know you will not fail.

Roaming through the city allies
In a shadow, you find your enemy
Grabbing hold of his arm
You're ready to pound him effectively.

The first blow is for stealing
The second is for Ginny
And all the rest is for all the
Items that he stole from many.

Hit after hit he starts to cry,
"I promise not to steal again. Stop!"
Not believing, you give one more blow
And the pesky Pant Devil drops.

The battle won, you saved the day
To the station you go to recoup
Now, you think about the news of
The troublesome Ghost Lupe.
