The Legend of Tyrannian Victory Day
By Tdyans

Neopia's darkest day had dawned
As all around the battlefield yawned.
Brave Neopians from far and wide
Had fought the invaders side by side,
But as they celebrated victory a message came:
A new enemy was coming,
Monoceraptor his name.
The brave Neopets stood and banded together,
Their shared love of their home
A powerful tether.
With a sense of foreboding
They watched, very still,
As the mighty creature appeared over the hill.
He was evil and huge and dark as the night,
And filled every Neopian's heart with such fright,
But they would not give up
Until the battle was done.
They believed that together
They were stronger than one.
One by one each brave soldier
Stepped up for his turn,
But defeat was the only lesson
Each one would learn.
The beast weakened little by little
But his power had such scope,
That even the courageous Neopians
Began to lose hope.
Just then a single Lupe emerged from the crowd,
And approached the enemy
Looking fearless and proud.
The battle between them
Was one fierce and heated,
But in the end the Monoceraptor lay defeated.
The joyous Neopets cheered, hugged, and kissed,
As the mysterious Lupe disappeared into the mist.
Wait, they all cried, You must stay.
You're our hero!
The strange Lupe turned back
And quietly replied, No.
I am only one pet who dealt the final blow,
But the importance of every pet
Is something you now know.
When our story is told,
I'll be made a legend, it's true,
But the hero today was every one of you.

Dice-a-Roo By lmkrctp

Dice-a-Roo is very mind-boggling to me.
There is nothing to it, you lose - guaranteed.
There's nothing to bet on - it gets to decide
If you lose all your money
Or reach the "sixth die."
I'd love to know how a die lands on its side
So you "almost" move up or "just about" die.
You just press a button: to move on or quit?
If you just moved up one more die
Surely you'd win.
But just when you think
Your next roll will be safe
That awful "Game Over"
Gets rubbed in your face.
Does that stop you? 'Course not!
You've got to press on.
You know that you'll play
'til your money's all gone.
I do admit - one time I won the jackpot.
But 100 NP is all that I got.
I just love the Blumaroos right down below
Who say "Boing!" and "I'm hungry!"
"My tail hurts!"... oh no!
They say "Take the money!"
But what should you do?
You won 5 more points
On that last die you threw.
And what's the big deal
With that darn "mystic wind"?
It's nothing; you know that you'll just roll again.
In closing, I'd like to say don't cease to play.
It's actually one of my favorite games.
They say you win Faerie's; I'd just like to see
That one day the good stuff would happen to me.
So I'll keep on rolling - Hey look! I just won
A lottery ticket! Wow, isn't this fun?!

The Grey One's Fall By Noremac9

Many seasons have since passed.
Many events have crowded in.
But, may this tale not be the last.
Of the great battle, Tyrannian.
Many things there are to tell.
But, there's one that stands out.
That day mighty warriors fell.
And all fighters were in doubt...

The tale that was the greatest yet.
Was the fall of the evil creature.
This one only the strongest met.
It was keen in strength and feature.
Many tried and all of them lost.
But he was of birth a great Lupe's son.
Both armies raged with mighty cost.
But this warrior fought the one...

The battle long, the blows massive.
The warrior held on for much time.
But soon his attacks became passive.
He couldn't defeat the grey evil, prime.
And finally as he began to give up.
He saw the weakness of the master.
He did then what he had done since a pup.
He moved with great speed as to be faster...

Now the creature did know it's fate.
And let out the loudest sound it could manage.
Its army saw the coming checkmate.
And left behind every bit of their damage.
The Lupe just smiled and looked at the beast.
And raised his paws in complete victory.
That night there was the greatest feast.
And all the warriors honoured completely...

Shadow Usul By Bianni

Shadow Usul, Dark One, Creature of the Night,
Slips between the shadows, blotting out the light,
Creeping past Neohomes, in the silver of the moon,
Never to be seen in the harsh sunlight of noon.
Who is the Shadow Usul?
From whence does she come?
What is it that has banned her
From the warmth of the sun?
Wrapped in her blackness,
Her eyes a glowing red,
Her graceful, stealthy motion
Sends a shiver full of dread.
A fearful fascination does both draw and repel,
Her sleek but half-glimpsed figure
Weaves an eerie spell.
The beauty of a shadow, dark elegance of form,
Is her heart encased in coldness,
Or could it ever warm?
She is the Shadow Usul, an enigma of the night,
And as I watch and wonder,
She vanishes from sight.

The Battle of Tyrannia By Sweetgurl245

I remember it well,
The day it all started,
From their homes in the cliffs,
The Korbat scouts parted.

They invaded Tyrannia,
On that sad sad day,
Though to our advantage,
We showed quite the display.

We fought them and beat them,
On Hunting, day 2,
Though victory wouldn't be ours, not yet
There was a newcomer that day, a new threat

Troopers and Invaders,
We soon beat them too,
But we knew more would follow,
Could we beat them too?

Sooner than hoped came Chia Bombers,
We were still fighting strong,
Though the bombers were tough,
We hoped that this new battle wouldn't last long.

We defeated the bombers on Hunting, day 7,
And hoped victory was in sight,
We were hoping that things would be in our favor,
When we saw a new, bigger fright!

It was Fire Grarrl with flame on his head,
Our soldiers were getting quite tired,
How many more enemies would appear?
But in the battle we put out their fire.

We knew what was next,
We knew what was coming,
But not quite like this!
In the air was a humming.

What could it be? We all asked ourselves.
It was 1,000 Tyrannian Buzz.
Was it a harder battle?
Oh yes, it was.

The Buzz were enormous,
And they could fly,
But we beat them too,
They went back to the sky.

We then held our breath,
We hoped that was the end,
When no new enemy came for a while,
Tyrannia started to mend.

But on Hunting, day 9,
We got a strange letter from the Monoceraptor,
Who could this be we wondered?
It said that he would be our captor.

The very next day,
He came and we prepared to fight.
We found that he was their leader,
We needed to beat him all right.

We all fought till we fell,
More tired then we'd ever been,
But soon, we defeated that monster,
We finally rested, we had saved our skin!

Well, today Tyrannia is peaceful,
But thankful you need to be!
Thank all those who helped defeat evil,
Make sacred that memory.
