Cybunny Pocket Watch

My Cybunny was small and bare.
He wore no special suit.
I thought this suited him the best --
A bunny, wild and cute.

And then I saw the Pocket Watch
That's worn by all his ilk.
I loved its golden finery,
Its face as white as milk.

Inspired by this trinket new,
I put it in his hands.
He looked so cultivated now,
So citified and grand!

The Pocket Watch was so refined,
So worldly, sharp and sleek.
I thought to add more clothes to him.
He wanted to look chic!

The Top Hat followed, satin made.
I felt so pleased and thrilled.
Adorned with carrots on the brow,
My pet was dressed to kill!

A black Tuxedo then was bought.
Its cuffs were whitest silk.
With golden buttons on the front,
This suit was bright and gilt!

And this is how one simple Watch
Changed everything I thought.
I'm happy with my dressed up pet.
I love his looks a lot!

Sasha the Cybunny Dancer

Look upon fair Sasha,
A Cybunny of virtue and grace,
Azure blue locks like summer skies,
Her lilac dress like days gone by,
And always a sweet smile upon her face.

Here she is known as ‘The Dancer’,
And now she watches us from above,
Her smile made of silky stardust,
A dress tied with silvery moon-rust,
She protects us with tenderness and love.

She is a heroine of Altador’s past,
One of our twelve named protectors true,
A protector - commemorated in stone and star,
A dancer guarding us from afar,
She is well-versed in helping others beat their blues.

For Sasha was faced with a sickening storm,
It ravaged her village when she was very young,
She could have sobbed or weeped or shook,
Took advantage of chaos and become a common crook,
But instead she sang, danced and carried on.

She saved her family and her friends that day,
Her determination an inspiration to all,
She sung away a storm, dried rain and tears,
She danced away the villagers’ fears,
She would not let her people fall.

The Cybunnies' Warm Welcome

Salutations to you, my Lost Desert crew,
It's your favorite Ruki writer Rhonda, reporting for reporting!
For years, I've combed our vast land of sand and sun
For the next sweat-drenched story to be spun.
Alas, I was starting to feel too comfortable in my element,
So I escaped to a landscape where snow is prevalent,
Where the freezing temperatures would a dune dweller stun,
And where sprightly Cybunnies oft frolic and have fun!

Scarved from antenna to toe, I carved a slow, plodding path
Up the wind chilled Terror Mountain mountainside.
It must've been fifty below zero - but forgive my inexact math!
I was just about ready to give up and turn back
When, suddenly, my hike was interrupted, mid-shiver,
By the sight of two pink and white ears aquiver,
Poking out from a heap of snow above.
So startled was I, I nearly dropped my gloves!
'Twas a little Cybunny, not half my height, and yay wide,
Bouncing with excitement, bushy-tailed and bright-eyed.
"Fret not, traveler," she cried,
"For I shall serve as your humble guide.
Cybunny Squad, let's conquer and divide!"

Upon that little Cybunny's command,
A whole fluffy army made an entrance quite grand!
Amazed, I watched, as seeming snowballs that speckled the rockface
Transformed into dozens of Cybunnies, all hopping in place.
"Stand well," said their leader, addressing me.
"Relax, we'll clear the way; wait and you'll see!"
With that, the Cybunnies began stomping around,
Sending snow flying with each leap and bound,
Causing deep banks of ice to quickly break down,
And revealing, within minutes, dry ground!

"All this, for me?" gasped this reporter with glee.
"'Tis our pleasure," replied the little Cybunny,
"To make your Terror Mountain trek one you'll never forget.
Now, let's take our new neofriend to the peak,
Before she manages to get even more cold and wet!
This weather was not made for her Ruki physique."
I laughed and I beamed, admiring the Cybunnies' technique
At making my day - nay, my entire week!
Venturing on, my feet appreciated the sturdy stone trail,
And with tales of Terror Mountain life, I was graciously regaled
By so many Cybunnies, loping along to my left and to my right.
Cybunnies of Terror Mountain, you are truly a delight!

A Bow for Cybunny Day

Today the cold regions of Neopia light up,
For a splendid celebration like none other,
A celebration unlike the Altador Cup,
For none of us it will be a bother

With shimmering fur coats as thick as ice, 
They protect themselves from the cold,
Taking care of them is worth the price,
Hence the beautiful festivity we hold

They revel in frolicking in the snow, 
Oh, but the icy wind they won't ever feel,
Another reason for the party we'll throw,
For those big hearts made out of steel

We all know which Neopet is celebrated,
Because their ears are visible anyhow,
And we're all grateful they were created,
For all the Cybunnies we will bow!

They’re sweet, fluffy and they love to hop
On grass, concrete, or even on rooftops
They'll also make you laugh without fail
With their twitching noses and furry tail

You can paint them pink, royal, even grey
No matter the colour they smile everyday
And spread joy to Neopians near and far
It’s no denying Cybunnies are loved by all

So if today you get to greet a Cybunny
Let them know they make everyday sunny
As they have done so much for us all
So please don’t forget to make that call!

I'm drawing a picture,
Can you guess what it might be?
Two long ears on the head,
And a smile filled with glee.

A ruffle 'round the fluffy neck,
And a tiny button nose,
A little bobtail at the back,
What is it, you suppose?

Two large feet around the back,
And another two before,
But wait, there's still another clue,
I'm drawing more and more!

Let's add in a carrot,
For our sketched out friend to eat,
And neaten up the lines,
On those huge, gigantic feet.

Surely, you have guessed by now,
What my doodle is?

Lonely Lunara, Princess of Shenkuu

Lonely Lunara, Princess of Shenkuu
No one to amuse her, only her petpet Kazeriu.
Her sister Terrana, up mountains she does climb,
Yet Lunara, though the eldest, must always stay inside.

Her father, the Emperor, protects her at all cost,
For Lunara one day will Empress be,
Though it's not what she really wants.

Lunara dreams of travelling, of escape, of being free.
How she hates being kept inside, this lonely Cybunny.
One day she hatches up a plan, outside she goes discreetly.
No one can find Lunara anywhere - she's disappeared completely!

All of Shenkuu is up arms, their princess taken away,
Kidnapped for a ransom they cannot afford to pay!
They seek her here, they seek her there - to no avail, alas!
Then as the mists come rolling in, Lunara appears, abashed.

"Father, please forgive me," she implores, feeling meek.
"I wasn't really missing, it just hide and seek!
Stop searching for kidnappers! Your efforts are in vain -
No one took me away from here, it was just a silly game!"

Lunara realises she is greatly loved, by her father and all the land.
It makes her feel less lonely and helps her understand.
Now she is more patient as she waits to be free,
One day she will be empress, our lonely Cybunny.

Making a Cybunny Day Cake

Should you seek to celebrate,
Cybunny-kind this year.
It’s not the party, dancing, games,
That raise one floppy ear.
Nothing treats the palate more,
Than cake, Cybunnies say.
It’s tradition! Every year!
To make, Cybunny Day.

To begin- a mixing bowl,
(The bigger type is best.)
Then get ready, start to slice,
(This puts you to the test!)
For fifty carrots form the base,
All sliced in discs so neat.
Layer them around the base,
And build this tasty treat.

The variations? Up to you!
Some like the zing of mint.
Strawberries, a bunny choice,
To give the dish pink tint.
Of course you need a helper, too,
Cybunny by your side.
To make the dish without a pal,
A feat I’ve never tried.

So finish with a frosting sweet,
Then shape two carrots, quick!
They form the ears atop the cake,
(You’ve got that bowl to lick!)
And there you go, Cybunny cake,
With bunny ears, so sweet.
It’s just the dish to share with friends,
And make this day complete.
