The Mysterious Mynci

I walked along a wooded path
Without a single care,
Energized by exercise
And fresh clean morning air.

My rambling led me to a place
I very often rove,
A quiet place made lovely
By a peaceful verdant grove.

I leaned against the tallest tree
And gazed up at the sky,
When a movement in the branches
Caught my surveying eye.

Swinging from his perch atop
My favorite tree,
A Mynci chose to demonstrate
His keen agility.

He swung from branch to branch
With amazing ease and grace,
Aided by his ample strength
And precision balance.

Then he gazed at me to see
If I was properly impressed,
And smiled for he could see
That he had clearly passed the test.

He tossed, as a last parting gift
Lightly to the ground
A red and juicy apple,
Then left without a sound.

A Letter to Arnold, the Test Your Strength Mynci

Dear Arnold, my name is blessed_faerie,
And I have a small question to ask.
Each morning I see you in the Haunted Woods,
Because your game is one of my daily tasks.

I give it a shot and test my strength:
Lift the big mallet and hurl it down.
Even though I use all of my muscle,
The red line barely gets off the ground.

I lift weights, but I see no change,
And I'm sick of winning gross food.
I get bigger, but my score stays the same,
Now I really hate to be rude…

But Arnold, I think your game is rigged!
There's no way I could lose every time.
You say it's real, but I can't believe it,
There's something funny about that line.

I've seen the biggest Skeith play,
But the line doesn't even get up to five.
When that Skeith saw the result of his swing,
He could scarcely believe his own eyes.

So Arnold, please tell me the truth,
Do you laugh and giggle when we play?
I sure hope I'm not simply too weak;
