BUZZ DAY SPECIAL

Elegant Buzz Gown
by Indulgences

I never liked the Buzz before.
I thought it creepy, strange, and weird.
I never liked its vermin looks,
An insect creature to be feared.

But then, one day, my lab rat changed
Into a Buzz that hummed and flew.
I never liked the Buzz before,
But as time passed, my feelings grew.

I dressed her in her species gown,
An elegant green silk affair.
She looked so sleek and glorious,
So glamorous beyond compare.

I then became inspired to
Buy everything that matched her gown.
I bought the emerald gloves and shoes,
And even splurged upon a crown.

My Buzz loves her regalia
And loves her special, glittering look.
I'm grateful to have zapped a Buzz,
With love that simply can't be shook!

Buzz Day's Colorful Dancer
by Flufflepuff

A trailing arm doth slice the air
In colors warm and cool
Which catch the gaze of all, even
The jealous Rainbow Pool.

Her grace and hips do captivate
Her audience, a host --
The Buzz doth dance across the snow
With steps light as a ghost.

Some murmur that she's lost her mind,
But this just makes her smile.
In months of grey and silver-white,
It will be but a while

Until the hues of spring return.
Therefore, in harshest cold
She dons her dress of summer days
And whirls outside, in bold

Technique that would make Sasha proud.
The dancing Buzz brings cheer
To bleakened wake of Giving months --
To wake once more the year.

So, do not shake your head at those
Who race into the snow
So happily and boldly. They are
Wiser than you know.

The Buzz Card Dealer's Collectable Cards
by Dr_tomoe

All around Neopia, there are
plenty of things to collect.
Some like stamps and seashells
and rare things from Random Events.

Slushies and Petpets
and school supplies, like rulers,
or random items that show off
TNT's sense of humor.

Another collectable item
that is sold in a store
is collectable cards
that tell Neopian Lore.

A favorite of light faeries
and sold in the bazaar
by the Buzz shopkeeper, who has them all
after searching high, low, near, and far.

From common blues to silver --
blacks, reds, and golds.
Most can be found and
most will be sold.

The rarest ones are unique, though,
and given as special prizes,
like for certain milestones
or as contest surprises.

Perhaps the rhyme here
will be part of the selection
to get the rare poetry card
to add to my collection.

The Buzz Potato Robber
by Sugarypixiestix2

His love of potatoes is extreme,
he mashes them with sour cream.
All day and night he eats them,
often with a chopped onion stem.

While his meals are not a crime,
this Buzz has not spent a dime.
In fact, he steals his potatoes;
sometimes he also nabs tomatoes.

Since it's another nice topping
for the potatoes, he's chopping.
With a mind set on only taters,
a Buzz like him has many haters.

At night he sneaks into houses,
finer than a kin of Tigermouses.
No one has ever caught him yet,
which has put some in big debt.

Meridell has been loudly cross
by the delay of the potato toss,
but it's been tough to commence
as this Buzz continues to fence.

Buzz Belie
by Treeword

I went to market one day
With spontaneity in mind,
A Buzz morphing potion
Is what I hoped to find.

I looked down upon the price,
My heart gave quite a start,
But then a nearby vendor
Motioned me to his cart.

“You hope to be a Buzz, you say.
Well, I have just the thing for you.
You can take it off my hands
With just a Neopoint or two.”

Oh! What luck! I thought,
For me to find this deal,
But he handed me a baby’s bottle
And my frown I could not conceal.

It was rather odd, I say,
Full of green liquid, so pale,
And large, staring eyes,
With even a little tail.

But, my resolve so entrenched,
My Buzz dream true and firm,
That I downed it all in one big gulp
And felt my stomach start to squirm.
I rushed to a nearby mirror
And screamed, I do confirm,
For the image staring back at me
Was just a big green worm!

Yummy Honey
by Agua_bambino

Buzz honey,
so yummy, yummy.
Sticky, sticky sweet...
what a lovely treat!

On Cloudberries
or as a sudsy soap,
Buzz Honey is the cherry
On my ice cream float.

Buzz Honey in a mug of tea
And a bowl of Crunchy Buzz Honey Delight.
Could a better breakfast be?
Buzz Honey is the perfect bite.

Ode To The Buzz (An Underrated Species)
by Lasaramar

Buzz, oh Buzz... why are you so cool?
You're cute when Tigersquash fruits
Make you drool.
You're so graceful when you fly, fly, and fly
Spiralling, doing beautiful stunts in the sky.

You're sweet and fun, intelligent and lovely,
Even if some folks claim that you're ugly.
I think you're not... you're just original!
Besides, why do they think you're criminals?

Prejudice is an awful thing, you know.
They think you'll always
Steal the fruits they grow.
I trust you, though. You can be honest and kind.
If they can't accept that...
Well, they're just blind.

You've got many amazing virtues to praise.
You're awesome in many different ways.
Your wings are pretty and I like your big eyes.
You've got wonderful eyesight
And you're speedy as light.

For these reasons you're my favourite species;
When you're not loved,
My heart breaks into pieces.
You sure deserve much more appreciation.
Nice little 'pets, you've got all my affection.

The Elusive Buzz
by Asparagation

Darkness encapsulated the sky;
not a sound could be heard.
A river trickled through the valley,
in the distance something whirred.

The sound came ever-closer
to the forest in the field;
something was flying closer
to see what these trees did yield.

The Buzz swooped down so fast,
picking Tigersquash with their teeth.
The farmer awoke to chase them
but they flew out of his reach.

They flew higher and higher,
wings beating in the wind,
flying far into the distance
as the trees bellow them thinned.

The Buzz came to rest on a clifftop,
turned to look back on the farm.
They began to consume their feast,
once again the night was calm.
