My Hauntingly Scary Scarecrow

When I looked out my window tonight,
it seemed to be filled with delight.
I could see it standing in my field
and it did not want to be concealed.

As I stared at it, it began to move,
like it had something big to prove.
Since I didn't know what it wanted,
my thoughts became uneasily daunted.

The day it had appeared on my land,
logic told me that it was unplanned.
Although my heart told me otherwise,
which I thought was a bunch of lies.

Scarecrows are made with old straw,
that I fear was turned into a claw.
Each of its hands look very sharp;
in fact, I think it tore up my tarp.

Why it did this, I wish I'd known,
at first it was all I'd been shown,
but it was the beginning of a plan --
right then is when I should've ran.

Unfortunately, I did not move away
because I thought it was merely hay.
Now I know better but I am trapped --
supernatural ties have me strapped.

Every time I try to travel outside
an invisible force and me collide.
So, for now I must do its bidding.
if I don't it will not be kidding.

Safety Deposit Box

it's a secret from me to you. 

The box is pure magic, 
blessed by the queen herself,
to help all Neopians
gather items of wealth. 

When things go in, 
they all disappear.

One bin, two bin, three bin, four. 
Five bin, six bin, many more. 

Oh no, you need to feed your 'pet!
What do you do?
You do a quick search 
for some hot Egg Stew.

I love my Safety Deposit Box 
And I think you soon will see. 
It is the epitome of greatness
It is quite clear to me.

The Coffee Cave

Is the coffee that can be found
In the Coffee Cave.

Pinanna Cappucino
Or
House Blend with Cream,
Give me The Neopian Times
To read while I drink
And I am living the dream!

Java flows in my veins
While words pour out on the
Poetry Contest Submission page.
"I know they will pick mine,"
I say,
Then I noticed I spilt
Cheesy Coffee on one spot
Of the page.

In the Coffee Cave
You can find
Numerous brilliant minds
Fueling their love for
Java in a mug.

Grave Danger! Grave Danger!

Grave danger! Grave danger! 
The Petpets they cry, 
Before disappearing in the blink of an eye.
Sitting around on Level 83, 
Or eating peanuts when they get hungry, 
Your Petpets fight skeletons, zombies, and more!
All while rushing through empty corridors, 
Looking for goodies like plushies and potions. 
The rarer the gift, the bigger the commotion. 
Eight or nine hours stuck in the 'combs, 
these little guys just want to come home.
All of a sudden you hear a noise -- 
Your little Petpet has brought back a toy.
Giving it a pat and a well-deserved smooch, 
You push it back in so he can find you more loot.

The Pressure Is On

It started just a day ago
When my friend challenged me
To a race for another avatar
And now I’m stuck, you see!

I try to win ten games of Bilge Dice,
Which I thought would be easy,
But after playing it once, twice, thrice
I’m feeling kind of queasy! 

So, now I think I’ll try my luck
At the Wheel of Monotony,
But after waiting an hour or two
I fear my friend will beat me.

So, I try for another luck avatar
At the Mutant Graveyard of Doom,
But after refreshing 
(And refreshing, and refreshing)
It’s off to another I zoom.

I find a Huggy, pick it up, 
And give it to my 'pet,
But after talking to someone else
I hear the avatar’s too long to get!

So, I play a few dailies in hopes that’ll help
Me finally earn the prize,
But sadly, not a single avatar
Will rise up and greet my eyes!

So, as a last ditch effort I
Run to the Hidden Tower,
Buy a Grimore and read to my 'pet.
Eureka! An avatar is ours!

But when I Neomail my friend,
I laugh (and groan) to find
That she earned an avatar first;
It turns out I was behind!
