My Mysterious Gothic Holiday Tree

I love watching its dark lights,
they glow like the darkest nights.
Its small stature is commendable --
taller trees seem less dependable.

As it stands atop my coffee table,
deep reds and indigos become able.
This Gothic tree is not cheerless;
in fact, it will keep me tearless.

The dark, luminous fluxes it emits
are full of modesty and not glitz.
My choice of tree may seem weird,
and some think it is to be feared.

But, it suits my personality well
because it reveals my inner shell,
which is full of nocturnal grace
that is one of a dark faerie race.

When I wake up this Day of Giving,
dim iridescents will be forgiving.
Shining with a welcoming twinkle,
so vivid that it doesn't crinkle.

And revel in the snow.
The faeries know that they are loved,

A party rages on.

The halls are garlanded
With tinsel sparkling red and gold,
And candles that are lit!

The faeries bless the motley 'pets.
Their quests come fast and thick.
All 'pets are glad to finish them.

The sky is sparkling, bright with stars.
The moon is large and near.
Each faerie takes a pet's warm hand.
Their love is pure and dear!

Spooky Christmas

Spooky 'pets love Christmas, too.
If you can't believe it, go to the Haunted Woods.
Spooky Christmas! Don't be blue.
We can wear ugly christmas sweaters, too.

Doesn't matter if you are Darigan, 
Mutant or Halloween,
Even if we scare you or give you the creeps,
We still sing with joy around the Christmas tree.
Spooky Christmas! Oh, such a glee.

We could decorate the graveyard 
With shiny brains,
Or even have dinner with Eliv Thade, 
Play in Neovia with an old sleigh.
Spooky Christmas! Don't be late.

Holidays with spiders and skulls,
About being cute we don't have a clue.

Granny's Christmas Spirit!

For seventeen days during the festive season,
The Charity Corner appeared 
For a very good reason.
Granny Hopbobbin proposed 
We adopt a Neopian in need,
Helping the less fortunate should we succeed.
Five special items was all she required,
A reward for our generosity could be acquired.
We also donate toys we have been hoarding
In hopes of receiving a gift more rewarding.
So, we sift through the pages 
Of toys we did store,
Unearthing a few more makes our spirits soar.
Checking the boxes one through to five,
Our Christmas spirit continues to thrive.
Clicking "Donate" with some trepidation,
This isn’t the moment for any hesitation.
A jubilant exclamation or a sigh of exasperation,
Who knows which it will be 
In the moment of revelation?
And, in hindsight, 
As we remember Granny’s intent,
Helping those less fortunate has left us content!

Creating Holiday Memories!

As the holidays fast approach, I think
Sometimes we need reminding: 
Though the nights are dark
And the weather's cold,
Our hearts should still be smiling!

It's easy to look with jealousy
At those with more than us.
We want to grumble, 
And snort and snipe
And kick up a mighty fuss.

Winter should be a time for fun
And lighting Holiday Wreath Lamps!
Not sulking, growling,
Whining, conspiring,
Or squabbling over stamps!

The Novas are bright and shining.
There's Day of Giving songs to sing.
With every passing Ona
We all can remember
The joy the season brings.

So, next time you want to stomp your feet
And shout that "It's not fair!"

Christmas Feast

A plushie Usul looked down from her shelf
Above a grand Christmas feast.
She grumbled, sulked, and said to herself:
It's very rude of them not to invite me to eat.

There was: our Krawk Pie,
Which was quite hard to get buy.
Grackle-Stuffed Turkey,
Washed down with Beef Jerky.

As for dessert, Flaming Christmas Pudding...
Better than your mother's cooking,
And so much other good things to eat,
Some sour, some very sweet.

The naughty Usul made up her mind
To jump down from her shelf.
"I'll have a great time
And eat everything myself."

But when she jumped down,
She was greeted with a cheer.
We were wondering when 
You would come around --
There's plenty of food to share!

She ate and ate
'Til her hunger was quite sate.
Her joy was almost too much to bear;
I wish we'll do this again next year!

Merry Christmas, everyone.

A Cheerful And Jolly Holiday

Deck the halls and all that jazz.
It is the Day of Giving, it's come so fast!
Gifts and cookies, decorations galore.
What a wonderful time to be jolly for!

Everyone is full of cheer.
Aishas are laughing, music is blasting.

Snow is falling, holiday dinner is calling.

Friends and family gather from all around.

The Day Of Giving's Ev'ning Sleep

A paint brush wielding faerie dust,
The essence Slumberberries hold,
A trace of calming Borovan
Doth sweep across the dormant land. 

It petrifies the verdant hills 
Of Meridell and Faerieland,
And silences the chattering
Of lava streams in Moltara.

Yea, e'en the moon is numb and glows
With half of Kreludor's pale light,
But where the silence dominates
Is in the beat-less central heart. 

For days and nights alike, the snow
Was ground to black dust underfoot 
As shoppers hunted for their wares
To carry and conceal at home.

No feet do wander 'round the tree
As virgin snow wafts sweetly down.
Most striking are the Kadoaties,
Curled up with naught but murmured purrs.

For every night (except the eve
Of th' blessed Day of Giving) they
Cry with their most ancestral yowl 
To make the sun return again.

Such fervor in their rending screams
Disrupts any attempt to sleep
A hapless fool within the realm
Of several miles can make. Tonight,
The pointed ears inside each cage
Doth rise and fall with symmetry. 

Truly, it is a silent night,
A deaf'ning lack of sound doth reign.
But once the stars give way to sleep,
Neopia is shrouded in
Cacophonies of joy. Of course,
This is to be expected on
The Day of Giving, so receive
The givers within every land. 

A subtle sense, serenity,
Before the storm of joyous cries
Takes place after the paint brush spell
Doth break but for an instant. Those
Whose hearts are one with the spirit
Of Days of Giving notice it. 

Keep watch and listen, aft you wake
For seconds, minutes, but not more. 
Receive the peace of eve-night sleep
And you may yet find something more.
