My Helpful Mutant Apron
by Sugarypixiestix2

When I'm in the mood to cook or bake,
there's one item I dare not forsake.
It guards my kitchen with such loyalty,
you'd think I was living with royalty.

There's no other apron that I'd use
when cooking my Chunky Meaty Stews.
I don't even care that it's slimy,
or that it sometimes gets a tad wily.

My Mutant Apron is a great assistant;
its helpful demeanour is consistent.
When I wear it, some Neopians shiver --
until tasting the meals it can deliver.

It can even help me when I clean up,
and it does so as eagerly as a pup.
Whether I am cooking for one or many,
my trusty apron can assist me plenty.

Today I'll be cooking Blumaroo Steaks,
and for dessert it's Mutant Cupcakes.
Since any day is a very special day
that puts our mutant items on display!

Conundrum
by Primeanya

What is outside?
I do not know,
But I refuse to leave
The safety of my home.

They call it NeoPhobia,
They call it irrational fear,
But I call it reasonable
Just by looking out there.

There are dangers scattered
All through the outdoors;
The dangers scared me,
Now and forever more.

So, it makes sense for me
To stay inside,
Where I can be safe
And, from the dangers, hide.

They say this NeoPhobia can be cured,
Step Out Shoes I would need;
The problem is: to get them,
My house I would have to leave.

My Hands Glowed Blue For A Moment
by Flufflepuff

My dearest 'pet, you dare to trek
So close to touch the monolith?
Get back! Get back! You know not with
Which fierce alliance lies the dead!

What is that glare within your eyes?
Please understand; you've always been
Exploring, but the world is in
More peril than you realize!

I'm armed with naught but words and bow
(Which only Neopets can use!),
And still you have the gall to choose
That which defies all that we know?

You cannot see my hands, which shake
And fill with painless needles fast --
And... colors... of the ghosts of past
Kings -- my 'pet, I beg you, take

No further steps! I feel so strange,
A presence stirs and hovers close.
You're back at last, but this odd ghost
Has left me and my hands unchanged.

Am I as pale as you now say?
I did not lie. Let us be off.
Should others ask, I say we scoff,
Report: nothing happened today.

Caution: Meepits!
by Coco_bella

Let me tell you a story --
this is something you’ll want to hear.
So, please take a seat and listen
if you have a minute to spare.

The other day I was walking
down to the grocery for some bread,
when I accidentally ran into a sign --
I didn’t notice it until it had hit my head.

Nursing my aching skull,
I glanced up at my attacker,
but when I saw that yellow sign
I found I'd burst out into laughter.

"Beware of Meepits?" I asked myself.
That’s such a silly thought!
Who would honestly believe that
Meepits are dangerous and plot?

I then chuckled to myself
as I walked away,
but little did I realize
that I was walking into a fray.

I soon found myself surrounded
by a horde of those pink critters,
and something about the look in their eyes
sent my spine up in shivers.

I’ll spare you the horrible details;
I just wanted to let it be known --
next time you see one of those signs,
heed its warning and just head on home.

The Food Club At Harpoon Harry's
by Tampigf

The harpoons shining on the wall,
A contest where the winner takes all,
With his bandana tied on real tight,
He plans on eating all through the night.

He eats too much, he will admit.
There is but one food he will omit;
Refraining from the icy drink,
Just a sip will make him pink.

With his odds as low as his IQ,
He left his beloved pirate crew
To seek out his true goal in life --
He has a different purpose for his knife.

With his clothes stretching to fit,
His stomach a huge, gaping pit,
The onlookers have made their bets,
Another pirate starts to sweat.

Harry struggles to supply more food,
The next round of Negg Soup freshly brewed,
His sharp eyes struggle to believe
Just what these greedy pirates can achieve.

Hours pass and the pizza is gone;
They're onto Hotfish but they've only begun
When one pirate passes out with a cry,
"That's me, I'm done and I'm out, goodbye."

He finally puts his empty mug down
And, upon his head, they place the crown.
A king of eating contests is he...
Gooblah, winning his Food Club jubilee!
