ILLUSEN DAY SPECIAL

My Ethereal Illusen Canopy Bed
by Sugarypixiestix2

My bedroom is a peaceful place,
it's filled with cotton and lace.
The colours are all earth tones,
like the trees, grass, and stones.

I've designed it around my bed,
piece by piece, thread by thread.
Illusen Canopy Bed is its label,
looking like it came from a fable.

With material from Illusen's Glade,
this bed's essence will never fade.
I take naps on it whenever I can,
and in the summer it's like a fan.

The temperature changes by season,
which confirms, for me, it has reason.
Though it is not known for a fact,
I think Illusen blessed its impact.

My sleep is sound and uninterrupted,
also my dreams are never corrupted.
No nightmare has visited my mind,
since it makes me feel enshrined.

At times it's tough for me to wake;
resting makes me happier than cake.
When I do get up from my slumber,
I'm surrounded by the hue of umber.

It is like living inside a forest
with my very own personal florist.
Perfect is the closest word I know
to how I feel about this bed's flow.

Illusen's Potted Orchid
by Indulgences

This tiny, dainty wearable
Is worth 600k.
I love its tiny blossoms pink.
Alas, I cannot pay!

I meekly search the Trading Post
To see if one's on sale.
They're all expensive, hard to buy.
I wave my arms and flail!

I love the orchid in real life.
It is my favorite plant.
And yet, I cannot buy this thing.
I want to scream and rant!

And even if I earn enough
To buy this orchid pink,
I'm not sure that I'll want to splurge.
It makes me pause and think!

It's finally Illusen Day,
So dress your 'pets with care!
I hope your wearables are cheap,
As well as chic and rare!

Should You Seek
by Fairyxhearts

Should you seek out Illusen's Glade,
You'd find it cool with dappled shade,
Thick with the leaves of many a pine
Hung heavy with lush twists of vine.

Before you will stretch a scene
Of such lovely, gorgeous green,
Enclosed in foliage so very dense
As to make the sight quite intense.

Should you seek fair Illusen's glen
You'd find a most fragranced den,
Shrouded in dozens of blooms
And just as many sweet perfumes.

Around you bright flowers will wave,
Their stalks long and petals brave,
Clustered as they are in the breeze
That nudges them about with such ease.

Should you seek where Illusen dwells,
You'd find also the high peal of bells,
In air filled with sounds of voices merry,
Echoing from tree to bush of wild cherry.

Among the plants several creatures live,
An account of which Illusen will give
Amid notes of Weewoo laughter
That will ring in your ears for hours after.

Ode To Illusen
by Trubiekatie

She once lived in Faerieland,
And now is back in Meridell.
Tucked away in her Glade,
Where her life is truly swell.

An earth faerie by trade,
She has item requests.
But, unlike other faeries,
There’s a time limit to address.

You must search quickly,
Before the clock runs out.
She awards rare items,
So be sure to search throughout.

Jhudora is her one true foe,
But no one knows why!
Ilusen is so very kind,
To say otherwise is a lie!

Illusen is so notable
For her green and brown hair.
Neopians who try to mimic
Cause everyone to stare.

Oh Illusen, we all thank you
For everything you’ve done.
Enjoy your special day;
Just be sure to have some fun!

The Handmade Illusen Plushie
by Tj_wagner

In the green land of Meridell,
A land of vegetable and berries.
None was more respected or loved
Than Illusen the earth faerie.
Her quests are like gifts.
Her smile is their sun.
And she tries to help all,
Each and every one.

Little Lyla the Cybunny
Was probably Illusen’s greatest fan.
She followed all her stories
And had knowledge on hand.
She truly loved Illusen,
Perhaps she loved her most of all.
Her mother saw this and decided
She had to get an Illusen plushie doll.

But the plushies were expensive
And Neopoints were dear.
To get the doll for Lyla’s birthday
Seemed impossible, she did fear.
So her mother got the cloth.
She gathered the thread for her feat.
Each night she worked quietly,
So the doll would be complete.

The plushie wasn’t perfect:
Some stitches were dropped.
But Lyla was so thrilled,
Her tears couldn’t be stopped.
“Thank you!” she cried
As she played with her toy.
“I truly truly love this!”
Her mother smiled at her joy.

She took the plush to Neoschool
The very next day.
She thought her friends would like it.
They might want to play.
But she heard bullies laughing
And trying to make her feel pain.
She didn’t understand what was wrong
And asked them to explain.

“That doll is ragged
And it is made so cheap!
Your mother probably dug it up
Out of the rubbish heap!
That doll isn’t made out of love.
It’s just a joke.
Your mother could have bought one
If she wasn’t so broke.”

Tears filled Lyla’s eyes,
But she spoke up quite loudly.
“My mother made me this plushie
And I will play with it proudly.
Maybe you can’t see its beauty,
But to me it’s quite clear.”
And it was in that moment
Illusen herself did appear.

She smiled at the children
In the playground at school.
Then she looked at the plushie
And said, “Now, that is cool.
What a pretty toy.
It’s one of the nicest I’ve seen.”
“Thanks,” Lyla managed,
“My mother made it for me.”

Illusen smiled and stated,
“That shows your mother loves you a lot.
This plushie is much nicer
Than any you could have bought.”
Then the earth faerie bent
And kissed the plushie’s head.
She smiled gently at Lyla
And left without another word being said.

The children were silent,
In awe they just stared,
And Lyla hugged the doll
That proved her mother cared.
Even before Illusen had come
She had known it was true.
Her plushie was the best,
And now the other kids knew it, too.
