Moltaran Workshop Background
A red light beeping softly in
One corner of the room,
A brighter yellow light above
To break up evening's gloom
The room is noisy with the sound
Of pipes that let off steam,
They're painted scarlet, fittingly,
And flushed from hot machines
The gears are mounted on the walls,
The wheels are locked in place,
They're waiting for an engineer
To set each gadget's pace
Contraptions line the blinking walls,
Each motor has its special use,
Each gizmo its own sound
This background, given to a 'pet,
Will change its attitude,
From someone sunny, jolly, blithe,
To someone dark in mood
So be quite wary when you give
This background to your 'pet
You'll find they'll change in many ways
You will not soon forget...
Lady Frostbite's Coveted Wig
Longest at the start,
Shortest at the end.
Lady Frostbite's lovely wig!
Hello, new best friend.
Scant but perfect streaks of blue,
The top flops to one side.
Lady Frostbite's gorgeous wig --
My 'pet wears it with pride.
With cream-colored strands,
It tells others to fear.
Lady Frostbite's fearsome wig
Allows the shy to leer.
The lady Krawk, is she jealous
Or flattered by the hair?
Lady Frostbite's shining wig --
Both, but it's fun to wear.
Like the sleek blue Krawk herself,
The wig breathes ice and style.
Lady Frostbite's coveted wig --
I'll keep it for a while.
Oh, my head; it is achin'
There's a pounding in my brain
And a buzzing in my ears
That'd drive any 'pet insane
My nose, it won't stop running,
I shiver and I shake,
But all these crazy remedies
I don't want to take,
You see, I can't stand needles,
And mushrooms make me sick,
Onions give me a rash
And honey makes me twitch,
I cannot swallow tablets,
While goop is just too gross,
The neckbrace and goggles seem odd,
But the footwear I hate the most...
So, I guess I'll take my chances
While hoping for the best,
Maybe all I need
Is some good old fashion rest.
Liar's Game (Double Agent)
I couldn't say how long it's been,
Even if I tried.
But then again, it wouldn't be
The first time that I lied.
This land of green and castle walls,
Of kings who serve themselves.
Oh, like so many little toys,
They tumbled from the shelves.
I played them all, my little game,
A traitor and a spy.
Yet still, until the very end
No one asked me why.
True loyalty cannot be bought,
And thus cannot be sold,
But those who pretend otherwise
Will shell out endless gold.
Taste it, feel it in the air,
A new battle comes to call
Rise up; I will fight once again --
You'll never see me fall.
The Art Gallery And Me
My tablet is my canvas, Neopets are my muse,
Everyday I have a wish --
To be who the judges choose
I brainstorm for ideas, I sketch till fingers hurt,
Will I draw her in a ball gown,
Or in a grass skirt?
Will I try to ink a portrait,
Or shall I try an action pose?
Shall I make it dark or kiddy cute --
Ah, who knows?
Let's try an animation!
Let's make the audience laugh!
But oh no, to submit it,
I have to cut file size in half!
Let's try to draw some faeries,
So beautiful to see,
Oh dear, I think I need to brush up
On my anatomy,
Her legs look too long,
And is her head too big?
Teach me how to draw fingers
That don't look like twigs!
How about the background,
Shall I draw it plain?
Or shall I draw an intricate castle
Drenched in heavy rain?
Do I draw borders made of flowers,
Or just a simple line,
I feel so much pressure,
To finish my art in time!
Days have passed
And I have started over thrice,
Finally I am left with something... quite nice!
I sign my name, I am filled with pride.
I stare at my picture, I feel GREAT inside.
It's time to submit. Click, and it's on it's way,
Will I see it in the Art Gallery some other day?
Whether it's in, or whether it's not...
I am left with the joy
That making it has brought.
I start over again, fresh and new.
I do it again! I draw for me, I draw for you...
Thank you, Neopets, for this artistic fervor;
Because of you, I know I will draw forever.
