OGRIN DAY SPECIAL
The Christmas Ogrin
The Christmas Ogrin celebrates
Two special holidays --
One is for his day of birth,
The other's Christmas Day!
December is a special month
For Ogrins of all hues.
Their birthday is the 28th,
When they made their debut!
December's also special for
The Christmas holiday.
It happens on the 25th,
A time for snow and sleigh!
The Christmas Ogrin is a mix
Of color, species, form,
That come together to create
A 'pet we all adore!
So, Merry Christmas, Christmas 'pets
Of every ilk and breed!
Let's don our jolly Christmas clothes
And celebrate, indeed!
Ogrin Master Fortune Cookies
It's sad to say, but
not everyone can
visit the Ogrin Master
and learn from the man.
He's busy with students,
teaching them how to
break boards with their hands
like the Kougra, Katsuo.
And during other times
he's high in the atmosphere,
teaching tricks to Team Virtupets
so they can win the cup next year.
And so, with his busy life,
those who seek wisdom
may find it hard to meet him,
for his work is never done.
But fear not, my friend,
for there is a way
to learn from the master
in quite a delicious way.
To gain wisdom from him,
even if you can't see
him, is go to the store
and buy his fortune cookie.
Each treat contains within
his wisdom most wise,
in a treat that's so sweet
(even though it goes straight to your thighs).
So, when you feel the need
to become more enlightened,
reach for his fortune cookies
And enjoy his deep wisdom.
The Ogrin Master
Wise beyond his days,
he has poor sight,
but this will not stop him
from putting up a fight.
Knowledge he has,
and lots of it, too,
this wise old Ogrin
teaches promising youths.
Skills they develop,
learning step by step,
these young Neopets learn to respect.
This Ogrin Master,
true through and through,
is a hero, to me and you.
Ode To Ogrins
This is a poem for my best friend in Neopia,
This is for my beautiful Ogrin, my 'pet,
The only one I have or intend to have, for I
See no need for another one yet
I’ll admit that I chose him for his looks,
Not because they were particularly good,
Not for strength or smarts or color,
But so I could watch him grow as he should
He has come so far right in front of my eyes...
Though not armored like a Bori is at birth,
He has read many books and fought hard,
Willing to prove to all Neopia
His species' worth
He dresses well and he talks fast and low,
Polite, even if quirky, happy as an Ogrin can be,
Though no Ogrins have made Neopian history,
He goes to the Training School
And says, “We’ll see.”
For Ogrins have one trait running through them,
They are optimists, even when the odds are long,
This little-noticed species keeps working hard,
Ogrins are born weak
And willing to endeavor to be strong
They are laughed at, called a cheap species,
Yet their smiles never waver
As they keep going...
Ogrins will make Neopia
See their worth one day
Not by bragging or telling,
But by the art of showing
My Ogrin is a Defender of Neopia nowadays,
And as the Acaras and Zafaras
Look on, confused,
He fights alongside them as an ally and friend,
The tension between species
Is steadily diffused
For, though they may look odd to some,
Having had one I can, for sure,
Say that, from the start,
These mohawk-wearing quadrupeds are all
Determined, loving, gentle
And protective at heart.
Mysterious Mystical Isle, An Ogrin's Adventure
My voyage, so long on this vast sea.
It almost seems never-ending for me.
A tired Ogrin I surely will be.
Will I find this mystical land,
Or fail at the least by my own weary hand?
Through the haze I can scarcely see
An island floating in front of me.
Surrounded by fog, my vessel draws near.
Could this be the isle that I hold so dear?
So dense and cold I begin to shiver
And felt my entire self quiver.
Such beauty surrounds me
As the tiny beads beneath my feet.
Red, blue, yellow, and green
Surely are so neat.
The foliage so thick, but wait... what do I see?
Could there be life
On this lonely isle in front of me?
They were blue, pink, yellow, and red.
These amazing little creatures quickly fled.
I ran and ran to no avail, as I knew
From their speed that I quickly would fail.
The sight of them was so surreal.
Was it my eyes playing games with me?
I was weary and cold, but I knew for sure
These tiny creatures surely did be.
I must collect some samples
To prove of my find.
Without this achieved,
They would not treat me kind
And maybe even view me
As out of my mind.
With my bag on my arm,
I returned to my ship to keep me from harm.
I slept for the night, as weary as can be.
When day breaks I shall begin
My journey back,
Where everyone will be with the proof
That I gathered for them to see.
My bag filled with treasures was quite a find.
I will keep these memories always in my mind.
This lifelong dream is finally here
For me to hold oh-so-dear.
I know the villagers will be at hand
To hear my adventure at this mystical isle
Called Lutari Island.
The Ogrins circled around me
As excited as can be.
They grew quite silent in expectation
Of what they were about to see.
As I revealed my find,
The Ogrins gazed at this spectacular sight
They were amazed.
Success surrounded me, I could surely see,
So now was the time
For a well-deserved sleep for me.
