Usul Day Celebration

Chattering Usuls that I see,
Hanging streamers from a tree,
What is it that I hear? 
Usul Day is drawing near!

We baked a cake that’s three tiers tall,
Hopefully it won’t be too small!
Decorate it with tons of bows
So that our Usul pride shows

Gift bags piled on the ground,
Treasures inside, sure to astound.
Throw some drinks onto a platter --
Careful now, so they don’t splatter.

Send some balloons into the air, 
To show just how much we care.
The last touch is to add a tune,
One and all will be here soon.

Party guests start to arrive,
The atmosphere begins to thrive!
Everyone is here to celebrate;
Not one Usul arrived late

All are bursting full of cheer
This day only happens once a year!

Speckled Usul Glory

I have a speckled Usul 'pet
And I am loath to change her hue.
Though speckled isn't popular,
I love her color through and through!

Intitially I rescued her
From languishing in sorry state,
Inside the Pound where, it is known,
The 'pets are doomed to lonely fates.

I checked her in the Neolodge
And gave her toys and games for fun.
Her mood was finally "Joyful!" and
I felt my job was finally done!

But then, one day, I realized
My side had one unused lab zap.
An unused lab ray on my side?
I simply couldn't dismiss that!

I held my breath and clicked my 'pet.
The Usul waited nervously.
Then, to my utter shock, my 'pet
Turned speckled quite amazingly!

And now my speckled Usul 'pet
Is waiting for her Usul Day,
To celebrate her lovely coat --
A color that will always stay!

Ursula The Usul's Dream

Watch out! Here it comes,
streaking here and there,
the Gormball flies between
all of them without a care.

One 'pet may win, she has
the confidence and pride!
She focuses on the ball
and never closes her eyes.

She may not be the tallest
or the oldest or most wise,
but Ursula Usul has studied
much and she wants the prize!

Being the Gormball champion
is her one and most true goal.
She's going to try hard for
it, all other 'pets she'll show!

No matter if you're young,
inexperienced, or small.
If you set your sights on
your dream, that's all!

Look now as she plays! 
Watch out Thyassa and Ember,
it may be Ursula's day today!

The Shadow Usul

Like a black shadow
in the deepest night,
to the dreaming souls,
he brings only fright.

Jumping from wall to wall,
movements so incredible,
with motives that are evil
and actions so very terrible.

Be wary walking in the dark
and keep your items close,
even so, you may find them
disappear from your clothes.

Stay within the yellow light,
stray away and find danger,
to avoid this warning,
is to fight a lost wager.

Emo Blues

So I hired this grumpy Usul,
I paid her to mind my shop,
I thought that it might work out...
But the complaints will not stop!

She complains about the walls.
“Why are they all white?” she says.
I asked what was wrong with that,
But she just shrugged and shook her head.

She’s not the only complainer.
The customers have started, too:
“Why’d you hire this grumpy Usul?”
“What’s wrong with you?!?”

My sales are not doing so well
Since she came to my store.
Customers stop to look in...
But nothing more.

The funny thing is,
I know I’ve seen this ‘pet before.
I thought she must be a good worker
Since I’ve seen her in many a store.

Do you know what I think?
She must have gotten a friend
To make that avatar for her.
Otherwise her career would end!

I think I want to fire her...
But I’ll be honest with you,
That sullen look on her face
Makes me wonder if that’s safe to do.

The Shadow Usul Strikes!

In the darkness of Neopia
there are many vile creatures,
and it is one of those that
we shall now feature.

A mysterious villain
who stalks in the night,
moving in shadows
filling victims with fright.

An Usul of darkness
whose motives are unclear,
but gives no more proof
that the darkness you should fear.

As the poor fool who
stays out after dark
could quickly find themselves
the Shadow Usul's mark.

As she creeps about slowly 
in the darkness, without a sound,
finding the nearest victim 
for her to hunt down.

And then, without warning
The Shadow Usul strikes!
And the poor Neopian
cannot even put up a fight.

They happen to be lucky,
she only stole tonight,
a random item they're carrying
before vanishing into the night.

But be warned, she's out there.
So stick to the light,
for the darkness is when
the Shadow Usul shall strike.

Baby's First Skis

Snow falls down,
Covering the mountain,
A little Usul
Peeks out the window

She's been told
That, this year,
She's old enough to ski

She's watched her big sisters,
She knows just what to do,
The little Usul watches 
As the older Usuls pull out their skis

Her mother hands her a package,
She unwraps it carefully,
First one tip and then the other
Of her brand new skis

She puts the helmet on
And straps her feet onto the skis,
She picks up the poles

The Usul hops into the lift
As it starts to move up the mountain,
Snowflakes fall and she arrives

She stands at the summit,
She can see for miles and miles,
She holds her breath
And closes her eyes
And suddenly, she's off!

Racing down the mountain,
Fast as the blink of an eye,
She's almost there, but hey, what's this?
A rock stands in her path

With a flick of her wrist,
She expertly dodges
And reaches the bottom,
To her joy and delight!

Captain Garin Of The Black Pawkeet

He's Captain Garin of The Black Pawkeet.
He's glad to lend a hand to folks he meets.
Why, he'll rescue them from danger,
For a modest fee;
Perhaps a sack of loot
And the treasury key.
He's a pirate through and through,
But he's not all that mean.
The high seas' finest captain
By the age of eighteen!

Oh, Captain Garin of The Black Pawkeet
Has got himself a crew of pirating's elite.
His best friend Jacques
Serves as his first mate,
And the rest of his crew
Is absolutely first rate!
Talak, Bill, Gordy,
And we mustn't forget Jim,
Who's either in the Crokabek's nest
Or off taking a swim!

That dashing Captain Garin 
of The Black Pawkeet;
He's notorious as a bit of a cheat.
He's a liar and a scoundrel,
And a terrible thief.
Yet he's honest about his piracy;
Now, isn't that a relief?
No other Usul has
His head of tousled hair;
He's a natural blond
With a splash of pirate flair!

Why, Captain Garin of The Black Pawkeet
Defeated Captain Scarblade's invasion fleet.
He saved New Maraqua...
And himself, to boot;
To thank the charming rascal
King Kelpbeard gave him loot!
Dear Isca asked him
To, in Maraqua, stay,
But the only life for Garin
Is the pirating way!

Captain Garin of The Black Pawkeet,
On Scurvy Island you just might meet.
In the Rusty Anchor
It's rumored that he's found,
Those few times
He's on dry ground.
Telling grand tales
Of the daring do,
Of Neopia's finest captain,
And The Black Pawkeet's crew!
