Phantastic, Yet Haunted
by Lilahne_aluoki

I visited Edolie's today.
There's something strange afoot.
There's not a single trace of spring;
Her place is full of cursed things,
And haunted Petpets underfoot.
Edolie herself cannot convey
Entirely her shocked dismay.

I entered Phantastic Finds today.
Her piano was playing a haunting tune,
Though no one sat in front of it,
Unless I could not see the spirit.
I hope someone explains it soon...
For now, I'm having a field day
Finding all that's been mislaid.

I helped out Edolie today.
Her silverware floating near the ceiling...
There's hearts and brains displayed in jars...
There's a Lil Frankie covered in scars...
Her skulled wallpaper seems to be peeling...
Something chained in the luggage
Wants out to play;
I can see why Edolie didn't want to stay.

I ran from Phantastic Finds today.
Away from the cauldron bubbling green.
Away from the apples floating in slime.
I'm sure the Kyrii bride's guilty
Of some horrid crime;
Her headless groom enough
To bring out a scream,
Although, for cake toppers,
They're almost cliché...
But the whole room smells of rot and decay.

I don't know if I'll help out after today.
The head in the crystal ball
Warned me of doom.
The grandfather clock is killing time;
A year's knocked off for every chime.
I should probably never reenter this room.
Yet tomorrow, to Edolie's I'll probably stray...
With prizes this good, I can't stay away!

Drugal
by Chazzilla

The shimmering of the moon,
she illuminates my mane.
My eyes so alluring,
they glisten in the rain.

The darkness that shrouds me
is the friend I never had.
For the citizens of Neopia
have concluded that I'm bad.

I do nothing but hide
in my native, spooky wood.
Opinions will never change,
whether I do bad or good.

They all want cute Petpets,
like the Angelpuss and Fir.
But I'm not quite up market,
I'd just cause quite a stir!

But I'll always long for comfort,
in the world that is so wide,
I'm just a little a Drugal,
I'd like a friend by my side.

Of Gavril And Krawkens
by Thediractor

There, once, on the Krawk Island mainlands,
In a shanty a ways from the sea,
Lived the scaly old fellow called Gavril --
(He looks kind of suspicious to me).

His eyes are a strange sort of purple,
An unnatural plum-colored hue,
He and his Warf like to sail their boat
Out into the wide-open blue.

It was lucky for Gavril
That he had stayed home
In that grim hour just before tea,
For the Krawken attacked,
And soon Gavril’s shack
Became beachfront property.

That clever old Krawk, he came up with a plan,
To make the waterlogged island a whole --
How those Sudoku puzzles
At all played a part...
But it had to be done, I was told.

Blame It On Exhaustion
by Esses_mom

For days now, I have been tracking
The many boards, I have not been slacking...
I know that, if I break to eat,
I will race back to another defeat

How long it will take, no one knows...
It's coming up, then there it goes,
I have been at this all night long
Here it comes! Another one gone

My eyes are so blurry it's hard to see
Is this one an N, or M, or V?
My scribbles are scribbled all over the place
But the one that I'm seeking,
I can't find a trace

What on earth is a Bot and where will it go?
Why in the world does it move so slow?
And, foolishly, I think I still have a chance
There went another when I averted my glance

Whatever you do, while pursuing this quest
Covet your names,
Keep them close to your vest
For if, by chance, you should say them out loud
You will be trampled by the moniker crowd

Now, at long last, we have reached the end,
The very last batch of names they will send,
The mob starts to push, to crush and to surge,
Oh look who I got, zytyghpytre from the purge!

Broken Heart Pendant
by Morningstarnova

Dear old Battledome,
I salute you with the pride
Of my fair homeland,
The city of Altador.

Parting with you
Is like parting
With a dear old friend,
Or my Broken Heart Pendant.

It was a gift from Nayla,
After we first met,
But that was before the
Highland Chia broke it.

I searched far and wide
For someone to fix it,
But no one I found
Seemed to want to do it.

I hold that pendant so dear,
Just as I hold the memories
Of the dear old Battledome:
Both good and bad.

There were many good,
Such as defeating Bob.
Earning that trophy
Made King Altador proud.

There was also the time
I defeated the Highland Chia,
Or defeated the easier Cave Chia
For the good of Neopia.

But there were bad as well,
Such as Meuka in general.
Or the Highland Chia,
He's a two-sided foe.

The Broken Heart Pendant,
On the other paw,
Was with me everywhere.
My duty to Nayla.

I haven't parted
With my pendant,
Nor will I ever
Do that at all.

But the old Battledome
I had to part with.
I cried at its doors,
And pleaded to go in.

Tonight I shall go home
And cry myself to sleep.
Dreaming of my king
And the fights I won.

This gold Eyrie
Just won't lose your memory.
Forever I shall be
Remembering the great you.

"Forget the new Battledome!"
I had shouted at the closed board.
"I want the old one back!"
Tears streamed down my beak.

Oh, dear old Battledome,
Please don't forget me.
I shall hold you close
As with my Broken Heart Pendant.
I guesss I see now
That my heart's broken, too.
