EYRIE DAY SPECIAL
The Eyrie Guard
Who is better than the Eyrie Guard?
Strong of arm and sharp of mind,
They are Kass's black ace card,
To his safety they're assigned.
With rings of mail and shields of steel,
The Eyrie guards defend their master.
The pain of wounds they cannot feel,
They lack the joys of laughter.
Pity the one whom they engage
With tempered, gleaming blades!
Ash-black manes fly with rage,
Some loose and some in braids.
With skill they enter combat,
Strengthened with Darigan blood,
Till swords are dull and matte,
Before the army's flood.
All of Meridell fears them,
And for a good reason too,
For their Darigan emblem,
And the survivors few.
Lord Kass the Fallen
Taunted by those whispered words,
He ruled a shadowed world.
As battle torn a land apart,
The plots of Kass unfurled.
When Darigan himself did fall,
The General rose to fame.
Notorious, his title spread,
And feared was Eyrie's name.
A vicious tyrant ruled by greed,
His hold grew ever strong.
Lies his people would believe
Would keep his dark rule strong.
Such trust his people did bestow,
And each last one was fooled.
Within the shadow of his reign,
Jeran the brave did fall to Kass,
And victory seemed sure.
His reign would bring a world to waste,
His rule would be secure.
As Meridell was torn to shreds,
Above did Lord Kass stand.
Emotion lost in wicked gaze,
That fell on shattered land.
With wildest twist of strangest fate,
The Eyrie Lord, outdone.
When battle ended, so would he,
Lord Kass, the fallen one.
A face permanently looking down,
Plastered on his face is a constant frown.
Sadness written in his eyes,
Excuses hiding the everlasting tears he cries.
Perky ears faded down,
A never-ending breakdown.
Broken wings prevent his smile,
For nothing it seems is worthwhile.
Red tints the tears shimmering in his eyes,
Because of the storms glazed over the skies.
His sorrow is contagious,
His sorrow is ageless.
Misery looms in his heart,
The reflection of his tears is a work of art.
The sparkle once in his eyes has grown dim,
Because of his colour no one will love him.
Salem batara hamsah!
Ancient mummy doth awaken,
Eyrieki is on the loose --
Precautions must be taken.
Shops and houses destroyed,
Havoc caused everywhere.
As the DoN were hurriedly called,
Lightning Lenny came there.
How to defeat this ancient Eyrie?
From the Lost Desert he hails.
How can we ensure the safety of ours,
Could the Defenders have failed?
Defeat this monster -- it's up to you.
For otherwise, likes of he
Will soon crowd 'round Neopian world,
Quick must you be!
Eyrie Fly, Fly So High
Eyrie fly, fly so high,
Into the engulfing bright blue sky!
Flap your wings as you glide,
Watch the views with a breathless sigh.
Eyrie, fly, fly so high,
Feel as though this was grand!
You want to explore some more,
Then gracefully descend to land.
Eyries all over Neopia should be proud,
They should be jumping for joy, shouting out loud!
They should all be celebrating with glee,
For there has never been a time so special for thee!
Twist, turn, swerve, and swagger,
Run to the Battledome with your obsidian dagger!
For today is the day where anything can be done,
And that's what makes today so much fun!
Eyrie fly, fly so high,
Off into the crimsons and greens of earth,
For you are truly wonderful,
Then descend to land once again,
To greeting emerald turf.
Fine and feathered form
Wide wings beating the air
Flying up on high
With nary a care
'Tis for this you were born
This, to soar, to fly!
The Eyrie was made to soar
Through bluest sky
So filled with greatest joy
Open your curved beak
Make the air resonate
With mighty shriek
Carve the clouds themselves
With your swooping flightpath
And look upon your handiwork, oh Eyrie,
And, looking, laugh.
The Battle Eyrie
The Battle Eyrie leaps with speed,
Yet full of charming grace.
The Battle Faerie's noble steed
That would win any race.
He uses his agility
To travel without worries,
With such a great ability
From Krawk Isle to Rock Quarry.
And with a clap like thunder
Both his wings will start to soar.
This artistic Eyrie wonder
Makes us love him all the more!
He demands a great respect
From every Poogle, Kau, and Hissi,
Any species you select.
He'll save them all, even when busy,
Because the Battle Eyrie saves us all
In different kinds of ways.
Catching our pets when they fall,
Or guarding us when we're afraid.
He's the massive, mighty beast
Who protects us every day.
So we should thank him (in the least)
This very special Eyrie Day!
Branston the Eyrie
Sizzling, grand, oh what a sight!
To lay your eyes on Branston,
He's never wrong, he's always right,
This lord of disco dancin'!
Constant, always, eyes on him,
This Eyrie, proud and tall,
With ego big, he's never grim,
The greatest of them all.
Turn off the lights, pump up the beat,
And watch, all, how he spins!
Amazing Eyrie, master of Cheat!
He's famous for his wins.
Collector of medals, fans galore,
He's also rich, you see,
Could not really ask for more,
Complete with TCG.
Come celebrate this Eyrie fellow,
Handsome, skilled, and fine.
Hazel eyes and feathers yellow,
Within a crowd, he'll shine.
The Pride of Eyries
Wings outstretched and soaring high,
a glint of adventure in my eye,
I am an Eyrie. My homeland is so wide and free
that circling it brings pride to me.
Neopia is a land with many breeds of pets,
but might I say that I believe the best
to be us -- the Eyrie. Majestic and strong,
our hearts are free and wings are long.
We come in many colours, but all of us share
a fierce sense of loyalty that cannot tear
our breed apart. So watch today! You may see
us fly high above Neopia, proud and free.
For Eyrie Day, all year we wait
so that we may celebrate
this special day that signifies
the pride of Eyries far and wide.
