The Battle of Playroom
By Mamasimios

Cresting over Pillow Mountain,
Brave Jeran leads a fresh attack,
Encircling the bad guys
Trapped in the Valley of Playmat.

Raising high his shield and sword,
Jeran rallies his musketeers,
With Kings Altador, Skarl, and Hagan,
While the knights take up the rear.

Helplessly awaits Lord Kass,
A ragtag army by his side,
When suddenly his reinforcements
Come flying through the sky.

(Wait -- your guys can't fly.
OK, just the Bat Thing then.)

Jeran leaps with all his might
And swats the Bat Thing to the floor.
The armies fight! And bang! And pow!
The Heroes have almost won the war.

(Hey -- stay down when I hit you.
What? Because mine have armour.
My house, my rules.)

Lord Kass looks around him
At the defeated members of his team.
The situation appears hopeless,
But here come the Prom Date and Prom Queen.

(No way! Those are collectable,
They're not even out of their packages.
Wait -- don't go home.
Here, have the box of Rejects.
They're cool, right?)

The Heroes face off against the Rejects;
The Battle of Playroom will know its winner.
(What, Mom? Okay!)
But the final skirmish will have to wait,
Because now it's time for dinner.

The Silver Song
By Dragonstorm_75

You sing to me a silver song,
That makes me feel like I belong.
As soft as Pteri's downy wing,
Sweeter than a brass-bell's ring,
As magical as a sleeper's dream,
Laughing like a dancing stream.

You sing to me a silver song,
Gossamer and yet so strong.
Weaving words upon the loom,
Of the charming musical plume,
Wound around the slender flute,
Carved from the bamboo shoot.

You sing to me a silver song,
One that calls to come along.
From Shenkuu's roaring falls,
To Altador's heroic halls,
Beyond the phantoms of the wood,
To where once Maraqua stood.

You sing to me a silver song,
Of years gone by and days so long.
Of whispers hidden in the stone,
Strewn about, lost, forlorn,
Forgotten as your voice is broken,
But do not stop singing, for I still listen.

The Capsules' Mystery
By Felicity437

A capsule full of mystery
Is worth more than its price;
Take a gamble, take a chance:
Come on now, roll the dice.

Of what the NC mall contains,
It holds just a small slice,
But every Mystery Capsule
Is quite sure to suffice.

Bubbles, rainbows, fruits, and stars
Adorn the caps' outside --
Evil, wings, or faeries too;
So what will you decide?

Basic capsules are a choice
In case you aren't sure
Which type of NC wearable
You're truly going for.

A capsule can prove to be more
Than worth its weight in gold.
Limited edition things
Can be inside, I'm told

Boxes, tiaras, hats,
And jewels and pretty bows
Are all the subject of a cap,
And so I do propose
That you head to the NC mall
To choose a couple out.
Discover their great mystery
And what they're all about.

The Prince Jazan Headdress
By Pansyparkinson14

My little orange Kougra has been a little down,
So I pondered what would eradicate that frown,
No, he would not like toys or sweets or a doll,
Wait! What about a trip to the wondrous NC mall?

He readily agreed and we capered there,
A smile inched upon his face: we were a happy pair!
Though there were so many things there on display,
Something on shelf caught his attention right away.

The Prince Jazan Headdress: a breathtaking thing!
With such rich material -- perfect even for a king!
A quality replica, price that wouldn't create debt,
I gladly chose to buy the headdress for my pet.

My orange Kougra beamed as donned the piece,
And it was then that his frown did completely cease,
He grinned happily and pranced like a little prince,
He has worn that handsome headdress ever since!

The Month of Gathering
By Squin

In the month of Gathering,
The first day is the Draik's,
Elegant dragons take to the skies,
Writhe through clouds like snakes.

The Techo claims the second day,
For 'twas the day of its release,
Parties and cakes abound,
The celebrations never cease!

Next comes by far the tastiest day,
The illustrious Chocolate Ball,
We eat and eat and eat some more,
We're in for the long haul!

Then of course comes the noble Poogle,
A coveted pet indeed,
Their parade marks the arrival
Of more to quench our Poogle need!

Next is the Faerie Festival,
'Tis rumoured that the fair folk
Are more generous on this day,
For their magic is awoke.

Next comes the Annual Gormball Championships,
Or the AGC for short,
When the whole of Neopia will engage in
This fun and noble sport.

Last but not least is the Skeith's day
To round out the month of Gathering,
Skeiths across Neopia
Will cakes with icing be a-slathering!
