To the Wishing Well
By Larkspurlane
There is magic in the waters
That lie cool and silent
In this chalice of moss-deep stone.
We lean and watch our own reflections
As we make our wishes few,
And reach down to touch the sun --
It breaks into shine and ripples,
Floating bright pieces of poetry
That fade back into stillness.
What would you wish for, Well,
If you could wish for something?
We ask you this and see your
Quiet waters pale -- and we watch your
Wish, as you show it to us:
You want rainbows after thunder,
The blue heavens to ring with song,
You want bright coronas, and northern lights
On a tapestry of a thousand constellations,
You want winds like an ensemble
Of stringed instruments, and a chorus
Of faerie lore --
We cannot grant you this, Well,
What else would you have?
Yes -- yes, you can have this, Well,
You can have these beautiful golden days
That drop by as gently as petals
In a jumble of spring and summer,
And hold the sun in your waters, Well,
Like a cup of acceptance.

The Desire to be Faerie
By Warzia
Stretch your wings against the sky,
soar with a contented sigh,
sing in perfect harmony,
with the crashing of the sea.
With your watery blue eyes
that match with the great skies,
swooping with your gentle wings,
if only you had no strings.
The dull blue Acara stores you away,
waiting to play another day,
wishing she could be like you,
wishing she had your wings two.
The blue Acara lays and sighs,
letting loose her sobs and cries,
releasing her sense of woe,
if only she had some dough!
Stopping herself,
she wipes her eyes,
there was no point in these weak cries!
"I shouldn't wait around and weep,
I shouldn't be a whining heap,
I'll go out and start to save up!"
And with this cheery little chirrup,
the "dull" Acara skips with a jump,
out her door and away,
saving her tears for a worse day.

The Wishing Well
By Amethyst_81
High upon a hilltop
There doth sit a magic well.
From where and whence it came
Not even Sloth himself can tell.
While you might think its purpose clear,
This well brings water naught,
Lower in the basket,
And something strange you will have caught.
It's not the same for everyone,
The well can see your dreams,
(Although it sees them clearer
With your Neopoints, it seems).
So step right up and close your eyes,
And wish for items rare,
(But do not wish for Draik Eggs,
For you'll find that none are there.)
Generosity well-known,
Travellers come from far away,
But patient must they be,
This ancient well sleeps half the day!
But when it wakes from slumber deep,
Your wait you won't regret,
For if it grants your wish,
A brand new avvie you may get!

Maraqua: Land Down Under
By Icy_catalyst
In a whirl of colour, an audience gathers,
Down to the land down under;
A place of mystic, ancient wonder,
Of treasure and secret plunder.
An aquatic spectacle, of that no doubt,
The fever pitch is great;
Once the spectators settle in,
A judge will close the gate.
'Tis the Acara Aquatic Festival,
It's a swirl of vibrant colour;
The waves dance, the contestants prance,
Down in the land down under.

To Wish Upon a Wishing Well
By Autotune
some say the Wishing Well
is far older than Neopia
for wishes are as old as time
and older than the skies
a magic older than faerie
rustic charm with no glitter
simple splashes quiet thrills
and the kerplunk of the heart
to wish upon a Wishing Well
with flashing coins so bright
lighting up the darkest night
like so many shooting stars
so can we please forget
about avatars and items
to just experience the magic
of a granted heartfelt wish?
