The Ogrin's gaze shall narrow fast,
Opponent's weapon, flying past.
One hoof is lifted, choice displayed,
Perfection etched in priceless jade.
Victory seems guaranteed,
As weapon works with frenzied speed.

The battle done, Ogrin stands tall,
Slingshot high, displayed to all.
The ancient weapon brings success,
A blessing Ogrins must possess.
For they alone can wield its might,
This jade slingshot that wins each fight.

The Ogrin's Gift

My present is finally here,
In a box my gift is concealed.
I perk up my furry ear,
The box is fully sealed.

I take a pair of cutters
And proceed deftly to unwrap.
It seems to take many hours,
Until the paper is just scrap.

I use my baby Ogrin paws to pick
And tear right through the box.
At the bottom lies fabric,
Is that a fluffy sock?

I pull the cardboard straight off,
What do I behold?
A plushie Ogrin starts to cough,
Her button eyes like shining gold.

The Ogrin smiles at me,
And wishes a happy birthday.
I giggle and I hug her firmly,
My sister has come home today!

We play and laugh and prance,
Until our legs are weak.
Through the night we sing and dance,
And play some hide and seek.

At last it's time to sleep,
My sister and I are tired.
When her slumber is soft and deep,
Only I have not expired.

A smile plays upon my lips,
And here is the reason why:
I got the finest present on my birthday,
And that is a sister and friend.

Too cute to pass, too hot to touch.
I have no way to show affection,
Although I love you very much.

Come at last from far Moltara,
I snuck you past the sleeping guards,
Brought you to my Neohome,
Where I admit it has been hard.

My Sunny Yellow Origami Couch
Went up in smoke as you passed by.
My wallpaper is singed and curled;
My potted plants withered and died.

I have no friends who wish to come
And share a meal with my new pet.
Water on the table evaporates,
As we sit there drenched in sweat.

And when the meal comes off the stove,
Cooked to tasty specifications,
If it is placed too close to you,
It suffers then from desiccation.

Oh, how I love my magma Ogrin!
For you I walk this thorny path,
But as your scent grows e'er more pungent,
I wonder how I'll give you a bath.

I walked into a restaurant one day.
It was kelp, expensive and exotic.
The Uni waitress greeted me.
Her face was stoic, cold, and ever so blue.
I smiled politely to the other patrons...
The ones with reservations.
Delicate Shoyrus,
Dainty Bori,
D... what was this?
Delightful Ogrin.
Daring stripes,
Dashing looks,
Decidedly out of place!
How curious.
He smiled at me,
Sunny and bright.
Not at all like the blues and greens
Of this underwater scene.
As the others sported their fins and scales,
His paws and fur
Looked raw and vibrant.
I finally was seated.
He was across the room.
But his fiery mane
Was the centre of attention!
He had that smile playing about his face.
When questioned about that silly smirk,
His answer was short and simple.
"Grin Grin Grin. I can't help myself.
After all, its OGRIN Day!"

The Cuddly Plushie Ogrin

A cuddly plushie he may be, all soft inside,
Soft fur, delicate stitching, big beautiful eyes.
Fragile he has become from so many hugs,
But he doesn't mind, he enjoys a lovely snug.

Hand-stitched perfectly, it took a lot of time,
He's used to compliments: "he's totally sublime!"
Purple fluffy hair, so clean and well maintained,
His heart full of stuffing and gold, not easily pained.

Although the plushie Ogrin is just a ball of fluff,
He is determined all the same; he can be tough.
Misuse or throw him away, plushie doth not forget,
He'll show no love to you, unless you feel regret.

But show him love and care, the Ogrin will be loyal,
Keep him in good condition, treat him like a royal.
Sky blue fur, yellow stripes, a vibrant plushie indeed,
He doesn't ask for a lot, but love is what he needs.

Someone to stay forever and not be likely to depart?
