An Ode to the Reject Usuki
Oh, torn and oddly dressed Usuki
Whose one button eye stares at me.
I wonder how you came to be,
You sad, rejected Usuki.
Oh Tyrannian Reject with funny hat,
How did you come to be wearing that?
And what about the Snowager Reject?
Made and discarded with no treasure to protect.
I wonder more about the Reject Prom Date.
And why does the Leaf Raker look so irate?
Why does the Magical Hair one lack any hair?
Why does the Teenage one have an extra arm there?
Hawaiian Reject is missing nose, mouth, and arm.
I wonder if it's had a run-in with harm.
Fun in the Sun Reject's missing an eye,
But only the Reject Basket is available to buy.
Was it factory error that caused these to be?
Even if so, why toss them out like debris?
Who could possibly love a reject Usuki?
Well, look no further, the answer is me.
The Adventures of Alabaster
Big hearts are often found, it's true,
In packages so small.
Though Usul might be so petite,
She's always standing tall.
Upon her trusty, noble steed,
(A green Krawk, I confess.)
She still moves with a rapid grace,
And rides with such finesse!
No beast is terrible enough,
No foe evokes some fear.
Yet creatures dark and bleak of heart
Do tremble when she's near.
Although she's just a tiny thing,
This Usul's fast and spry.
She charges (on her Krawk, of course!)
With sword and shield held high.
Into caverns dark and dank,
Where good folk will not tread.
She'll just storm in with head held high,
And not one trace of dread!
She'll take out foes with one fell swoop,
Then leave with jaunty wink.
Just shows that heroes come in shapes
That aren't what you may think.
Moltara is a new area,
not far from Altador.
Yes, it is an interesting land
that many are eager to explore.
With caves descending deep into mist,
into a dark unknown abyss.
Everybody was scared to take the plunge,
all except for a very brave one.
His name was Roxton,
part of a small group of three.
He discovered the area,
filled with pride and glee.
He took a step forward,
and glided into the hole.
Not knowing what to expect,
not knowing where to go.
He landed in an amazing display,
filled with lava piling up all of the way.
He glided over the heated lava
and made the most important discovery to date.
Moltara is a different land,
but all pets are welcome.
Just try to glide over the magma,
I'm sure you would rather that then melt.
Pink Usul: A Backwards Tale in Verse
She lived happily ever after
With a tale of the lands she had roamed.
Full of the spoils of adventure,
This Usul returned to her home.
The kingdoms of Brightvale and Meridell
Offered rest for a weary traveller.
Knowledge and food on sale as well,
A land so close yet unfamiliar.
Maraqua beckoned from 'neath the seas,
As she approached by watercraft.
A land once troubled, now at peace,
Defended from further pirate attack.
She travelled further from her home,
Eager to at last explore it.
World of canyon, dust, and stone,
Far Tyrannia, land prehistoric.
Onto the peaks of Terror Mountain,
From Happy Valley far below,
A fear of the Snowager well-surmounted
In the fields of ice and snow.
Though the light was very dim,
Having faith in the power of good,
This Usul feared not the grasping limbs
Deep within the Haunted Woods.
Seeking adventure and other stuff,
She left her home in Neopia Central,
Pink as cotton candy fluff,
Once upon a time there lived a Usul.
To rule all of Neopia,
The power I do need,
But first I must know one thing --
In this quest will I succeed?
In all of my vast research,
The solution I have found;
My questions can be answered
By a Gnorbu living underground.
He goes by the name of Igneot,
And the future he can see,
So I travel to his Moltara cavern
Guarded by a magma sea.
He grins as I walk in
With his fiery mane aflame.
Upon my request he blows out the lit candles,
But I'm still sweating all the same.
Before I even ask him,
He sees my question in my eyes,
And Igneot says,
"Your need for power; it is not well-disguised."
"Well then, sir, you must know
What I have come to ask --
Will things go according to my plans?
Will I rule Neopia at last?"
He chuckles, and as he does this,
The flames around him flare.
He looks at me intently,
Then into fiery coal he stares.
The room suddenly goes dark,
And the wise Gnorbu is all I can see,
For all the flames except those in his eyes
Have gone out temporarily.
The crystal ball of molten coal
Becomes lit up again.
Igneot turns to me and says,
"You will indeed rule Neopia,
But it is not clear when."
