BRUCE DAY SPECIAL
A Bruce So Rare
Waddling form of rounded Bruce,
Her figure squat and slight.
A clumsy bird of awkward gait,
Who lacks real grace in flight.
Within this group there is but one,
Who with such pride may soar.
The skies within her very reach,
The clouds she may explore.
Bruce graced by translucent sheaths,
Twin wings so softly span.
A flutter rapid motion brings,
They softly lift, then fan.
She alone will ride the wind,
While others gaze in awe.
Wing span shimmers, violet tones,
Exquisite, without flaw.
Awkward when upon her feet,
She'll spiral 'round each cloud.
Normally devoid of poise,
But here, grace is allowed.
Faerie wings, alight with pink,
Like daydreams in the sky.
Bruces resting down below,
With awestruck envy, sigh.
Poetic motion is her flight,
To idle breeze, she clings.
Only she may touch the stars,
The Bruce so graced with wings.
The Bruce Princess
Sovereign of the frozen wastes,
In a gown of gleaming blue,
So lonely is your tower on high,
Could your heart be icy, too?
Bruce Princess, so elegant,
Such a fragile grace you hold,
I look at you and wonder,
Which of your stories are untold.
Are you tender? Bookish? Mean?
You come and go without a word.
Keeping to tradition's dictate,
That you're seen, but never heard.
Snow-trimmed skirt sweeping the floor,
A mantle of the finest, softest down,
Do you think you might be happier,
Living life without your crown?
One day you will be Queen, I know,
A role which you did not choose,
But before that duty calls to you,
Why not try on a pauper's shoes?
Walk among your lowlier citizens,
Unguarded and without all the fuss,
Just one day to truly experience,
How you would feel as one of us.
You'll still be you without your jewels,
And what could you have to lose?
So come, let us get to know you more,
As we would any ordinary Bruce.
Terror Mountain Tilt
Slipping and sliding on the wet ice,
Only the right coloured ring will suffice.
Terror Mountain Bruces slide all day,
Can you guide them the right way?
Through the rings the Bruces go,
Over ice and through the snow.
Match their colours to the rings,
Tilt the rink so that it swings!
Bonuses will help you too,
Send the little Bruces through.
Tilt them left and tilt them right,
Help give the Bruces great delight!
If enough points you do score,
The Bruces will all beg for more!
Just tilt the board till you win,
Bring out the Snowbeast within!
A Squawking 'Terror'
Yooyuball, how high you fly!
Singing through the darkened air,
Followed by a squawking cry,
And a red eye's bright glare.
Tormo Frein is on the field,
Blocking strikes at every turn,
He is indeed the powerful shield
And fills the opponent's mind with concern.
The Darigan Bruce is very skilled,
His team is most glad to have him.
The ground beneath his sling is grilled,
By incredible speed from a deft limb.
Tandrak calls, for the Yooyu he waits,
And Tormo is quick to answer.
Across the field the young Bruce skates,
And flings the ball like a lancer.
A goal is scored for Darigan Citadel,
Victory's close at hand!
Yet Tormo does not stay very idle,
For the enemy's making a stand!
The opponent's forward rushes here,
His eyes ablaze in determined anger.
And out of nowhere the Terror appears,
His reaching flippers strong and eager.
At once the offensive is halted,
And the Darigan Bruce earns his title.
Like a bullet Tormo bolted,
Followed by the crowd's excited babble.
In a burst of choking dust,
The arena watches in anticipation.
From the melee a hand was thrust,
And cries did come from either faction.
Tormo Frein snatched the Yooyuball,
Darigan Citadel was still on a roll!
With a mighty throw there went the ball,
And by Layton's wings it was a goal!
Victory was in the Citadel's claws,
And to all we light a happy candle.
But thanks to Tormo's blocks and caws,
There Reshar stood, bored and idle.
Flip a Coin, Flip a Coin
Flip a coin, flip a coin,
Heads I win, tails you lose.
Hey, you cheater!
I should win if I choose!
Flip a coin, flip a coin,
Yes, my name is Brucey B.
I am a master player
Of the game of Cheat, yessiree!
Flip a coin, flip a coin,
But I dropped my lucky one!
But what is this I see?
A start for desert fun?
Well, now that that is over,
I still go and play Cheat
But listen here, Neopia!
Good Brucey can't be beat.
Once there was a young Christmas Bruce
Who was never asked to play.
He envied all the other young Neopets
Who ice-skated night and day.
One day when he was feeling brave,
He walked over to the other pets.
When he asked if he could join,
They laughed and said, "Not yet."
He did not care about their teasing,
For he was a determined one.
He practiced skating by himself
And had a heap of fun.
Weeks and months passed.
Then the Bruce heard exciting news.
There was going to be a skating race.
He hoped he wouldn't lose!
Finally the special day arrived.
With terror in his heart,
The Bruce lined up with the other pets
And waited for the start.
Finally the starter waved his flag.
The Bruce started a bit late.
But within a couple seconds,
His skating was first rate!
He quickly glanced behind him
As the finish line came into sight.
He would definitely have a new trophy
To put in his cabinet tonight!
