Krawk By Buurin

"Come play with me, and be my friend!"
Yelled the little green Krawk
Who lives 'round the bend.
But with his large snapping teeth
And scaly, sharp claws
Being his pal would have many flaws!

"I heard he eats Kois and children too!"
Whispered a very nervous and scared Blumaroo.
"Just look at those teeth!" a mother Koi hissed,
"And those knives he calls claws
are not to be missed!"

"Come play with me, and be my friend!"
Yelled the Krawk to a Quiggle
Who got lost 'round the bend.
But the Quiggle jumped and ran away,
And the sad little Krawk
Was shocked to hear him say:

"You'll never have a friend! Just look at your face!
You don't belong--here or any place!
You're a monster, a beast, you feed on Psimice
And other such creatures--and that isn't nice!"

So the Krawk disappeared, still without a friend
And he no longer lives in the sea 'round the bend.
Later, all the pets found the rumors were untrue
The Krawk never ate anything but green apple stew!

But it was too late, they were sad they were wrong
And then they discovered that EVERYONE belongs!
The moral of this story is to always make friends
With the lonely green Krawk
Who lives 'round the bend....
