Ukali Day
By Soaringeagle25

Glistening, mournful eyes,
Drooping ears and wings.
A pitiful squeak now and then
Announces another Ukali coming.

They flock with a sigh
On Meridell's emerald field.
With a celebration in mind,
(Though it's well concealed).

For Ukalis are lonesome creatures
With a gloomy dark mood.
Only they really know
What will soon ensue.

Maybe with balloons and party streamers
(At least that's what I suppose).
They'll dance the jig and Cybunny hop,
And try to limbo.

Who knows what will really go on?
Ukalis are rather unique creatures...
For all we know they might just sit and wallow
In sadness as their main feature.

Flight of the Ukali
By Icesmith

Flying endlessly across the hues
Of the skies and seas combined,
Each tender breeze soars their wings,
Of joy the waves remind.
Tackling villains, or so he dreams,
The Ukali is happy and free,
Neopia in his palm, a traveller amidst
All envy, and all do agree.
This creature of beauty, all aspire,
For its freedom and joy and glee,
His feathered wings sprouting far,
A purely fantastical sight to see.
Each sun-filled day, illuminated wide,
Each moon-filled night, shadows shroud,
None stop this energetic Petpet,
Soaring carelessly through each cloud.
Faerieland below, amongst all the others,
The Ukali sparkles within the sun,
And all gaze upward, so petite and small,
Upon the Ukali tribe and their fun.
And so the Ukali flutters back home,
His wings tired and sore,
Awaiting tomorrow's arrival of sun,
So he can do it all once more!

The Haunted Woods
By Chaenda

Edna cackles as she stirs her pot,
The Brain Tree may be planning a plot,
The Esophagor's voice still asks for food,
As you can see, they're up to no good,
Cruel laughter echoed from the Fairground,
There are tales of Neopians who were never found,
Games' spirits begin to roam the place,
Neopets have masks that cover their face.

Eliv Thade's growls and Gilly's poor screams,
Others getting haunted by some evil dreams,
A voice calls out and asks you to play Fetch!,
You realise that it was just an evil wretch,
Hubrid Nox is back to zap MAGAX away,
Getting stronger because of this special day,
From a distance, you could see the haunted house,
Some would start screaming like a Miamouse.

The clowns have come back to attack,
Arnold tells you about the strength you lack,
The Wheel of Misfortune gives off more disease,
You can eat as much spooky food as you please,
The coconuts you hit wouldn't fall,
You listen as other voices would call,
This place can surely give you a scare.
I suggest you don't come... unless you dare.

The Monarch Of Meridell
By Anjie

A hallowed throne room looms ahead,
Within these regal halls.
Portraits of a Grumpy King
Doth hang upon its walls.
The grumbling monarch sits alone,
Approach with caution, friend!
For if your humour's not his style,
You'll meet a frightening end.

You bow so low, drop to one knee,
King Skarl seems rather cross.
And while he lacks a cheery grin,
In Meridell, he's boss.
You stutter out your practiced joke,
The King and guards all hear.
A jaunty riddle, asked in jest,
Though spluttered with such fear.

A moment passes, silence falls,
It seems doom lurks ahead.
Then Skarl does start a roaring laugh,
And all seems well instead.
Neopoints are handed down,
The bag tied with a string.
Tomorrow you shall thus return
To appease the Grumpy King.

Sloth's Invasion
By Keikotoriyamacatnip

Beyond the reaches of light,
Into the cosmos deep,
A space station looms,
Seething evil it does keep.

A scientific greed is bred,
From the inventions within.
Weapons of mass destruction
Cause plotting villains to grin.

Dastardly intentions fuel
A plan carried to absolution,
Nothing will recompense,
Only severe retribution.

A flash of the eyes,
Quick gesture of the hand.
The command has been made,
To attack a neighbouring land.

Thousands of battleships fly
Through the empty void of space,
Headed toward Kreludor,
To attack the Grundo race.

Assault after assault,
Platoons continue to advance,
Capturing those left behind,
Leaving nothing to chance.

A fleeting army of shadows,
The Resistance reverberates.
Will Dr. Sloth be victorious?
All can only speculate...
