Whisper of the Shadow Usul
Sinister the silent night,
A menace waits within.
As moonlight drifts into the dark,
This beast's games can begin.
Shadow monster, unseen force,
An Usul, vicious threat.
Mere mirage or horrid truth?
It's not been confirmed yet.
Whisper, was it just your mind,
Or does the beast dwell near?
You cannot see where creature lurks,
And can't trust what you hear.
The slightest glimpse of onyx form,
A rapid, coiling sight.
Obsidian, an Usul shape,
Soon melted into night.
Alarming comes the gust of wind,
You spin in onyx cloud.
The feeling that you're not alone,
Within night's coldest shroud.
Are you left just as you were?
Or is there something wrong?
Is your gold still safe and sound?
Or stolen and long gone?
Relinquished of your precious gold,
No culprit left in sight.
Malicious smirk on Usul's face,
A phantom in the night.
Blumaroo's Game of Chance
Thinking games of chance were fun,
a bored Blumaroo looked all around,
until a frightening note was mysteriously found.
Attached to the note, was a colourful die.
The shimmering, bright colour caught his eye.
The note was enticing so he read on,
not realising that he was the die's pawn.
"Roll it once and get the ace,
you'll not longer be around to take up space."
"Roll it once and get the deuce,
we'll set the mutant Petpets loose."
"Roll it once and get the three.
A glorious treasure'll be awaiting thee."
"Roll it once and get the four,
untimely ends await through each door."
"Roll it once and get the five,
you'll be lucky to stay alive."
"Roll it once and get the six,
gold and riches are in the mix."
With only two good options, the mood was grey, but
King Roo would be disappointed if he walked away.
He picked up the die and shook it around,
and terrified, he rolled it upon the ground.
It bobbled and rolled, his eyes were wide...
keep them open or closed, he could not decide.
When it finally stopped he took a peek,
saw what it was and let out a shriek.
Gold and silver began raining from the sky.
Silly Blumaroos and their gambling ways...
Should he chance it again??
No, he thinks not... today.
A Spectre's Tale
Sylva stood on brine-soaked prow,
Fur billowing in wind.
His scowl fierce,
His eyes quite sad,
His future looking grim.
Near isle now he set his gaze,
Rocky was its shore.
Desperation made him bitter,
As he prepared to wage a war.
They took her there
With her eyes so fair,
Her smile bright and true.
Kidnapped by natives,
And he knew naught what to do.
Boat neared land,
He leapt from prow,
Coldly making one last vow --
Revenge he'd have or all would see
His ever-aching misery.
And from that time a tale's been told
Of bitter fighter, oh so bold,
Who lost his life on isle grim
To save one who was dear to him.
You may see him now and then,
To smite if foe and aid if friend.
With warnings harsh
And heart of stone,
The Ghost Lupe wanders land alone.
Ode to Usuki Sets
In satin shoes and ribbons red,
A dress of blue divine,
Usuki Pretty Princess Set
Shall catch your eye in line.
Put on a dress of cheery bright
And dance beneath the sun,
This set is bursting full of warmth,
Usuki Summer Fun.
A Gym Goddess your doll shall be
Dressed bold in bottle green,
Weights and all, complete and set
Is how it should be seen.
TAKE THAT! OOF! UGH!
Become the master in this courageous set,
Black Belt Usuki brings out in you
The fight you've never met.
Dream silently of washing shores,
Of colossal beaches white,
Usuki Shipwreck Set does cast
A distant, sandy sight.
In peaceful blue and furry sleeves,
Snowy Valley shall be it,
In places such as Terror Mount,
Your doll will surely fit.
Avast! Aboard! Ahoy! Land ho!
A pirate you shall be,
When you put on the Pirate Set
And sail across the sea.
In every set, in every pack,
New worlds shall be displayed,
So why is it you're reading this?
Get your own set today!
Tender of the Birds
Breaking back and aching bones
Begin to take their toll.
His ugly face
And limping pace
And eyes as black as coal.
Twisted horns upon his head
Give friendly birds a perch.
He does not care,
He's glad to share,
And aids them on their search.
Those brighter and more beautiful
Are never very shy.
They always stare
And then they dare
To laugh as he limps by.
'Bird Man is the Ixi's name,
He tends to them all day.'
'It can't be true!'
'I never knew!'
'He lives with birds, you say?'
Toxic words are hurtful, but
He keeps up with his gait.
It's for his friends
That he ascends
Above their petty hate.
Mutant face appears down in
The market square to buy
A bag of seed
And bread to feed
Winged allies of the sky.
Tender eyes and caring grin
Are there upon his face,
And with a shout
And shares about
His bread with gentle grace.
So next time you lay eyes upon
Those not so smart nor fair,
Please look inside
And you might find
There may be love in there.
