CHIA DAY SPECIAL

An Apple Chia Protest
By _Razcalz_

Neopia Central, morning fair,
A festival in place.
Chia Day has come again,
Grins on every face.
Except one Chia, it turns out,
Who stands at edge of crowd.
Indeed, he seems quite discontent,
Shouting in shrill voice, loud.

"I protest," the Chia cries,
Round and green in hue.
"Against the apple pies!
Sure, they're yummy, just to you;
What of us apple Chias?
It's cruel, I tell you, beyond words!"
Chia stomps and hops in rage,
Looking rather absurd.

He's not finished, I'm afraid,
He angrily declares:
"Why are apple pies still served
At restaurants and fairs?
I demand that they be banned
From every place and land!"
Chia takes breath to go on,
But soon is stopped by hand.

Plate is thrust in front of him,
With golden fresh-baked treat.
Apple Chia can't resist,
Bends down to bite pie sweet.
"It's wonderful!" he does announce,
"What name does it go by?"
Shifty eyes, and snickers heard...
"My dear, it's apple pie."

Hail Hubrid Nox
By Precious_katuch14

Cape black as a starless night,
Eyes shining with a malevolent light.
A grin that chills to the very bone,
This mustached Chia works alone.

Deserted by MAGAX the Destroyer,
Served by ghosts rising into the air.
They are minions at his beck and call,
Hubrid Nox, evil master of all.

In his sinister fortress he stands,
This sorcerer needs no wands
To blast meddling fools into oblivion --
Hubrid Nox, powerful and villainous one.

He laughs at all who dare oppose him,
Anyone who even tries must be quite dim.
(Or truly valiant heroes of justice
Who defiantly ignore this notice.)

Haunted Woods, cower in fear!
See how your end looms near!
He is coming, his minions at his side
When you hear him laugh, you'd better hide.

Of course, not everyone is afraid,
Heroes will still come to your aid.
Reformed MAGAX with a heart so true,
And the adventurers of NeoQuest II.

Nox's plans are not without defect,
For the powerful are not perfect.
Alas, how the mighty shall fall!
Suddenly, he seems so small.

But this is not the end, oh no,
Not for this cunning, nefarious foe.
Sinking again into the shadows,
Scheming again; that's how the story goes.

Cape black as a starless night,
Eyes shining with a malevolent light.
Hubrid Nox is still out there
Waiting to give you a scare!

Korosu Crestscar, Tyrannian Egg Eater
By Larkspurlane

A furious
appetite reigns
in Korosu's ravenous
throat and belly, he feasts
and seeks more eggs, and what
could satisfy the whole of Faerie
City is not enough -- the more eggs
he crams, the more eggs he craves --
and as from every land the rivers flow
to fill the insatiate blue sea, which never
fills for all those far-flung streams, or as
a fire never refuses fuel and, ravening,
burns logs beyond counting, the more
eggs he eats, the more he wants; and
glutted, he grows on greed, food
compels food, and eating
makes emptiness.

Chia Clown
By Concertogreat_8

A sullen silence descends with an audible thud,
On a scraggly patch of crumbling mud.
Tattered curtains blow in the ghostly breeze,
A bugle call sounds as a strangled sneeze.

A flash of red, a glimpse of garish green;
Something resembling an unwashed bean.
Lurking behind the curtains of a ruined tent,
Peering out past a rusty pole, bent.

Ghastly red stripes paint a round yellow face;
Dingy clumps of hair flutter like ratty old lace.
Striped trousers hang baggily on bulky frame,
Held up by suspenders long gone lame.

It's the infamous Chia clown,
Whose balloon pets have Neopian renown.
Quality is limp and stretched thin,
Faces are slit-eyed, twisted of limb.

The Chia clown strikes fear into hearts,
Piercing them like poisoned darts.
A freakish grin, a hideous leer,
A beckoning to "You, my dear."

His laugh is like a screeching cackle,
The pies he throws smell like bait 'n' tackle;
His tricks are horrible, his audiences groan,
He makes the kiddies howl to go home.

Pay a Neopoint for admission, smile wide,
The Chia clown will make you want to hide.
"Thank you, thank you," he takes a bow,
Flying Moaches? "We think we'll leave now."

A Carrot Chia's Plea
By Anjie

"It hardly seems to be quite fair!"
The Chia did lament.
"When carrots are so tasty fresh,
A flaw I can't prevent!"

"For Lupes who seek a healthy snack,
I am the finest treat."
Woefully he hung his head,
And shuffled orange feet.

"I wish, I wish!" he did complain,
(And loudly did he rant!)
"I was a flavour no one liked,
Like lemon! Or eggplant!

"I can't befriend a pea Chia,
Although it would be sweet!
Peas and carrots just aren't safe,
When strolling down the street."

"I cannot tell you!" Chia sobbed,
"How many pets have looked
In my direction just to think
Of how I could be cooked!"

"Neopia, I beg of thee,
My friends, oh hear this plea!
Next time you dream of carrot stew,
Be kind and think of me!"
