BUZZ DAY SPECIAL

How the Maraquan Buzz Learned to Fly
By Dragonstorm_75

Their limbs had grown into vice-like claws,
Their tails developed a wonderful fluke.
There can be seen no well-defined flaws,
And yet their appearance may prove to spook.

But in the never-ending sky do Buzzes hold flight,
And this swimming creature does not.
Buzzes do soar to indescribable heights,
And this swimming creature cannot.

Glance to the depths, spare just one moment,
And see why indeed, sea-Buzzes can fly.
Deep in the chasms where light is absent,
Where their grace may belie their disability.

For when you see them twist and twirl,
In a wreath of gleaming silver bubbles,
You see that in the water they learned to whirl,
In the water they learned to fly.

The Baking of the Buzz Gateau
By Soaringeagle25

Chef's hats and oven gloves,
Checked and patterned aprons too --
Standard garb for one to wear,
For Buzz Gateau is on the menu!

Buzzes everywhere do prepare,
For it is a long-standing tradition
To gather up one's utensils this day
And crowd into their kitchens.

Two cups of flour and some sugar,
Some laughs, and don't forget good times.
A pinch of love, then mix it well,
If the gateau will taste sublime.

Fresh from the oven, all toasty warm,
It fills the room with its delicious smell.
Topped with icing and sugar-spun wings,
Every Buzz knows it will taste swell!

It's not just the cake that matters,
Or secret ingredient, or special spice.
Eating it with friends is a sure way
Of enjoying that decadent slice!

A Bouncing Baby Buzz
By Anjie

Be aware of all small things,
Avoid them if you must.
Adorable, this baby seems,
Beware, though, do not trust!

There's nothing that seems quite as sweet,
As Buzz in baby form.
But when your back is briefly turned,
It's then he might transform!

Amazing how a tiny grub,
Can make a massive mess!
How he gets around so fast,
Is anybody's guess!

Without a paw or limb in sight,
He pulls things to the floor.
With him around that priceless rug
Is priceless now no more.

With giggle filled with wicked glee,
He slugs through every room.
Anything that tastes okay,
He'll sniff, and then consume.

The shimmer of those glowing eyes,
Into calm may lull.
With baby Buzz out on the loose,
You know things won't be dull!

Lightest jade, the wriggling form,
His mane a frizz of fuzz.
Nothing sweeter in this world,
Than bouncing baby Buzz!

The smallest of the Buzzing group
Can such a difference make!
Never a moment that seems dull,
While baby is awake!

Wait until he falls asleep,
And now, you take your rest.
A bouncing baby Buzz, it seems,
Is quite the tiring test!

Jigsaw on Buzz Day
By _Razcalz_

Morning sun upon the field,
Still sprinkled with clear dew.
Out of nowhere comes a Buzz,
Of cheery light blue hue.
Jigsaw pieces in his hands,
He drops them at my heel.
Buzz indicates that it's for me,
I get to work, a frown concealed.

Easiest is soft green grass,
Each leaf distinct and bright.
Puzzle pieces snugly joined,
Field soon comes into sight.
Satisfied, I move along,
To cloudy azure sky.
There's no challenge here, either,
Mere minutes have passed by.

And then it comes to flying Buzz:
The star of jigsaw scene.
Proving to be difficult...
Pieces left? Nineteen.
What is this, a wing or tail?
I struggle for right links.
Gradually, as I work on,
The gaps in puzzle shrink.

There we go! The final piece!
Buzz jigsaw is complete.
Only then do I notice
Message in letters neat.
Written 'cross from piece to piece,
Exclaim, the message does:
"I hope you have an awesome day,
This Festival of Buzz!"

The Buzz Avenger
By Larkspurlane

A swift
crimson-eyed
shadow, just a
whisper on the
wind, dark in
form and,
perhaps, darker in
deed, is perched upon Castle
Meridell's ramparts, lit only
by the harvest moon. We know little about him
save his title, the Buzz Avenger, and the fact that
he is very, very good
at what he does: he wings high over Meridell
by night, and rids that fair land of injustices,
of villains and of thieves,
and so swift at dealing
punishment is he,
they say that
the Buzz
Avenger
is the
last
thing
his
foes
ever
see.
