Just One Glimmer
By Yoyote

In a dark forgotten corner
On some narrow stony street
A little grey Fuzzle
Sits waiting.

He has been lost forever
Forever, so it seems --
This dreary world completely
Engulfs him.

The flow of life floods past him
In that endless pounding rhythm --
No one has time to give
A glance.

Time wanders ever on
The days blur into nights
And still the little Fuzzle
Sits waiting.

His silent prayers spin
Like twirls of tissue paper,
Delicate and lovely
As dreams.

Till from out the empty grey
A smiling glimmer comes
And two paws pick him up
So gently.

"My precious little Fuzzle,
When all the world seemed grey
I yearned for just one glimmer
And found you."

The Desert Hissi of Qasala
By Soaringeagle25

Dying sun burns the desert sand,
The moon begins to climb,
Casting shadows, twisted shapes
Of things stalking the nighttime.

A desert Hissi, gliding forth,
Moonlight glitter on diamond scale,
Liquid movements and silent stalk,
Only a swish of the flickering tail.

Waiting for the midnight hour,
In the ruins of cities past,
Tumbled rock and tipped stone --
The monument of the desert vast.

Windless nights and hidden days,
The legacy of the history
Of the desert Hissi strong;
The reason remains mystery.

A guardian of some arid treasure
Or perhaps a desert spirit at loss,
Whatever drives the Hissi of Qasala
He is not a denizen to cross!

Ode to a Cloud Lupe
By Anjie

Alabaster velvet sheen,
On cobalt silk so soft.
A vision of the endless sky,
And clouds that drift aloft.

Canine's gaze a depthless glow,
So bright with idle dream.
Vision toned in azure gloss,
Alight with gentle sheen.

Aqua coat graced with pale cream,
Shines as the breeze drifts by.
Dappled ivory agleam,
Just like the endless sky.

Upon the peak of mountain's top,
She gazes 'cross the land.
Her form doth blend with clouds beyond,
As daydreaming, she'll stand.

Oh! Sweet Lupe of cloudy hue,
The skies alight your pelt!
Silken white that stains her coat,
Into the blue shall melt.

Some Lupes have a coat of green,
Much like the forest's grow.
Others tainted by a flame,
With embers do they glow!

Some are blessed with wings that glide,
And some with fins do swim.
Yet none hold beauty like the Lupe
With clouds on every limb.

Chant of the Mystery Islanders
By Reggieman721

Stars shine softly in the night.
Techo Mountain burneth bright.
In the jungle, out of sight,
Tribal flame gives off its light.

Azure sea meets sunburnt sand.
Shadows fall where tall trees stand.
Music rings from chanting band.
Anthem sounds across the land.

Fearsome drum begins to beat.
Islanders take to their feet.
Other teams their match will meet.
Mystery Island brings the heat.

Tiki masks and coloured dye.
Countless hands reach to the sky.
We will hold that Cup up high.
Mystery Island, unify!

A Day and a Lesson from the Snow Candychans
By Twocents

With their sleek bodies in clever disguise,
Snow never melting, wings dive in free fall,
They display the truth in deep charcoal eyes.
Hiding away, just out of sight, they call
An invitation to join in the play.
Flit through the snow, enjoy their gaiety.
They don't show often, revel in this day.
Not a moment still, no getting fidgety.
A chance to drink in the wonders of 'chans,
Few get to experience this utter thrill,
The majestic marvel known to no one.
A day excluding the run-of-the-mill.
The brilliance of this secretive place,
Feeling blessed by the presence of their grace.

A day ending too soon, my heart falls in
Dismay to leave these creatures, say farewell.
I fear I may never see them again.
Disappointment rises, my chest swells.
This great gift, to recognise clear beauty,
Humbles my soul, something not seen before --
The sublime in the small. Thus, my duty
Tells my mind to share with the world this lore.
To see in someone all that is good
Is no minor feat. They say to do so
Will open your mind to more, understood?
Fear not the experience from the snow.
Love is seen in all places in our world,
It may let your delusions come unfurled.
