DISCOVERY OF BRIGHTVALE

A Tourist's Guide to Brightvale
By Lily2b18

Many, many years ago upon this joyous day,
The land of Brightvale got its name,
This conquest is still celebrated today,
When King Hagan laid his claim.
A neighbouring kingdom to Meridell,
Brightvale is famed for the knowledge they posess.
In making fine windows Brightvale excels,
They make beautiful stained glass with much success.
It's honestly quite hard to find a single flaw,
King Hagan's made a kingdom quite worthy of awe.

If you stop to visit, perhaps try a spin,
The Wheel of Knowledge is quite a gamble.
Prizes are windows, flags, and knowledge to win.
You may happen on one of King Hagan's rambles.
You could try to impress Hagan with your brain,
Give him a phrase meant to impress the king.
He could throw you out; you leave with disdain,
He could also meet his match and your praises sing.
Books, scrolls, motes, fruits are other great finds,
Proving Brightvale is perfect for a fruitful mind.

The Brightvale Books Shopkeeper
By Soaringeagle25

In the land of beautiful Brightvale fair,
Scholars, students, magicians, and mages
Travel for miles, oh mysterious texts so rare
In search for Brightvale's sought after pages.

Brightvale Books, such place of fame
That bespectacled orange-hued Ixi herself,
A diplomatic mind with nothing to shame
As she expertly organises the bookshelf.

A book on Brightvale's Knowledge Wheel?
Just a semi-silent swish of fur away
She thumbs her wares, searching with zeal,
Dealing with books of all sorts is her forte!

With a ancient tome always at hoof,
The zest for knowledge upon her mind,
A grand selection of books under her roof
All guaranteed well-bound and designed!

For books on potions, spells, and tales,
The boutique that sells Brightvale's books,
Books about history and when good avails
Can all be found in this cozy little nook!

The Green and Gold Banners
By Anjie

Aloft, caught by a random breeze,
Upon turrets up high.
Molten gold and emerald green,
A beacon in the sky.
Calling all who wander far,
Who walk the path away.
They dream of banners green and gold,
To welcome them one day.

Far beyond the realms we know,
A sacred world, behold.
Wisdom is a law itself,
Fair truth is taught and told.
Ancient secrets, treasured dear,
For knowledge is the key.
It keeps the realm alight and bold,
Protected, safe and free.

Hagan's castle, still, serene,
Viridian each field.
Wisdom is what's harvested,
Knowledge is what's revealed.
Blazing like the sun above,
Those tones of green and gold.
Brightvale, realm of wisdom shines,
Still gracious, land of old.

Long Live Brightvale!
By Silenangel

Such lush green scenery you have never seen,
on this that once stood a hidden place.
A fairy tale land of lore,
that opened its doors for all to see.

A little known wonder,
that now is proud and fierce.
Intelligence is their weapon,
against all odds and threats.

King Hagan the Wise rules with a just hand,
over all that live and dwell within.
Taking care to be a fair and honest king,
his life of studying is for the greater good of all.

The Wheel of Knowledge provides some chance,
the fruits of Brightvale colour and life,
the Scrollery magic, the Royal Potionery mystery,
The Brightvale Glaziers and the Motery beauty.

Though no greater place you will find
than the Brightvale Books.
This place that is renowned for selling wisdom,
here the finest books sold to those eager to learn.

Today we celebrate Brightvale,
and all that it has given the world.
We sing its praises with happiest of sounds,
that great Brightvale will stand forever.

The Brightvale Glazier
By Hopeforgotten

The glazier is hard at work
Deciding on an intricate pattern,
In his mind myriad possibilities lurk,
He chooses the perfect one and begins.

He traces the pattern on the glass
Slowly and with a steady hand,
He focuses all his energy on his task,
This window would be his best work yet.

With his glass cutter he gently scores the glass,
Accuracy is his goal,
He cuts each piece carefully up to the last,
Perfection is his dream.

Each and every glass piece he grinds,
He shapes and molds the edges,
The glazier can see the finished work in his mind,
With a smile he fits the pieces together on his table.

The artisan turns around
From the furnace he retrieves his iron.
It makes a sizzling sound,
With it he solders the glass together.

He lets out a sigh
His art is finished,
He gently lifts the stained glass window high
Just as the sunlight pours in through the open door.

The sun's rays shine brightly
Through the stained glass window.
The artisan holds his finished art tightly,
Around his feet is a pool of many colours.

The artisan had been right --
His window was perfection itself.
