Dawn By tse2000

The sun rose to greet the day,
While Neopia was still fast asleep,
Chias snuggled tightly
In their little beds,
Kougras pawing
Thin air in their dreams,
As Grarrls dream of delightful goods,
One by one,
As the sun rose higher,
The pets awake,
In different times,
The Grundos at five,
The Flotsams at four,
Lennies at six,
And of course,
Myncis at seven,
But... the Tuscanniny's slept in!

The Snowager By sheep_rulez

Slumping on a mountain of treasures,
on Neggs, Snowballs and other rare stuff,
the Snowager lies asleep and snoring.
Heart thumping, he creeps into the cave
awaiting the reward or the fate that lies.
A heap of treasure or a blast of ice...
he pondered.
Urged his owner, "Hurry, hurry..."
Making a decision, he crept inside,
the Snowager stirred,
he almost died of fright.
Further down he climbs,
grabbing a thing
unsure of what it was,
dashing at the speed of a bullet
he rushed, ran zoomed.
Light shone on the oval thing,
its mysterious air disappears.
It slipped out of his grasp,
and rolled away.
The Snowager roared,
followed by shards of ice
he stumbled upon a skull
and flew out of the cave
stumbling into the snow,
empty-handed.

Cheat By shattaga

He stares at you,
Watching your every move.
Does he know?
He deals his own cards.
You breathe again.
4 Aces...
Do the simple math.
You just dealt 2 real Aces.
Counting on logic,
You accuse the Jetsam.
Hoping that your accusations are true.
Calm and quiet, he shows his deck.
Correct!
He takes the 20 card pile.
You take a deep breath,
Hoping the next round is as lucky as the last.

Just As Long As We're Together By sachadaisy

What if one day
I log in to find
That all my Neopoints
Have been stolen?
Or that all my items are missing?
But when I click
Onto my active pet's name
I laugh in happiness
The one thing that horrible hacker
Forgot to steal
Was the thing
That meant most to me
My pets!
Why should I care
All about those Rainbow Neggs,
Attack Forks, or Puppyblews?
All my money was wiped out,
My Shop Till, my bank account,
Everything
But my four pets remain
They do not need any Laptops
When a 10 NP Plushie
Would do the same thing
Why feed them Neggs
When they will willingly
Eat Carrots?
My pets would eat soup
Every day of the week,
Months, and even years
Just as long as we're together

The Ski Lodge By taytochip

In Terror Mountain,
there it sits,
as innocent as can be,
it may look,
like a normal ski lodge,
but you will see...
Those who go in,
never come out.
Or at least,
all but one.
The murderer,
the dreadful person,
soon they will have won.
To kill all others,
is their goal,
getting them one by one.
If you wonder how many
they will leave alone,
the answer is none.
If you think it is not true,
then go ahead, I am not stopping you.
Spend a night at The Ski Lodge,
but beware,
I do not know what horrors,
await you there...

Imagine By ruler0ftheworld

As I lie on my hard bed at night
Tossing and turning in the cold.
I try hard to imagine
A new owner coming to take me away.
We'd be so happy...
She'd buy me treats,
Play with me every day,
And read me books at night.
We'd play games in The Games Room,
I'd make friends with all the other Neopets,
And I'd have my very own NeoHome.
But I could do without all that
If only I had the one thing
That all Neopets need.
Love.
But as I toss and turn,
Cold in my hard bed.
It's hard to think of
It ever happening.
So all I can do
Is imagine.

Love And Power By dragonsnow

To me harsh winds are summer breezes
To me a wound is just a scratch
I am the elite
I am the best
But I still can't figure
How the Wocky could beat me
The fight started out like they always did
I overwhelmed it with my gigantic self
But it didn't cower as most Wockys did,
It just bared it's teeth and growled
My owner was screaming to finish it quickly
He cursed at me and said mean things
But I didn't care
I was STILL the best
But then I saw the Wocky's girl
Saying loving things to it
I suppose I choked
When I heard her voice
'Cause the Wocky latched onto me
And brought me down
My owner kicked me and left the ring
But the Wocky's girl healed me
And the Wocky helped, too
How nice they were, I see why they won
I had strength, but they had love...

Late Night Cafe By shuurin

I sit in the crowd,
a miasma of smoke and muffled voices
drifts through the air,
an Aisha sits on a stool on stage,
the dim light of the candles
dance and sparkle on her ruby fur,
the crowd hushes as she readies to speak,
a small rosy tongue leaves her lips
moistening her preparing mouth.
A boisterous song?
A melancholy poem?
A speech to stimulate a freedom of the masses?
Her eyes glitter sharply,
she flashes a curt smile,
with a twitch of her ear she makes
her thoughts known:
"Meow"
the words of an enlightened soul.

My Day At Meerca Chase By cyberwolf101

I run and run and run
Only to find more Happiness Neggs
I am a very fast Meerca, so many people
Root for me as I run to get those yummy Neggs.
What's this? A FISH NEGG?!
I run for it - and I HAVE IT!
I have 599 points!!!
A Green Negg pops up
I run toward it, hoping to win
A Magical Meerca Plushie
OH NO!!!! There's a Red Negg in my path!
I can't stop, I'm going too fast!
I hit the Negg... Game Over
With 599 points. One point shy of what I needed.
Am I sad? Am I disappointed?
Am I embarrassed?
No.
Is it because I know I'm fast?
Because I know I'll get it next time?
Because my owner is proud of me?
Still no.
Why then, you ask?
Simple... I've eaten too many Happiness Neggs!

The Soup Faerie By ponygirlr

The pot was brown
and full of stains,
The snow piled up
on the window panes.
The Faerie sat shivering
(for it was getting cold)
As she ladled out soup
into small, cracked bowls.
And she thought to herself,
"The other Faeries have it great,
Out blessing pets,
they don't have to suffer my fate."
But as she sat shivering
in the tattered clothes she wore,
A new pet walked in
through the small, grey door.
She thought it was a Kougra
but she couldn't tell for sure,
for mud and dirt and grime
had covered his once-red fur.
His desperate eyes
gazed longingly at the soup,
for weeks he had nowhere to sleep
but an old chicken coop.
The Faerie winced, for she could
see his ribs right through his skin,
he must not have eaten for weeks;
he was so dreadfully thin.
The Kougra ate the soup
so fast that he looked like a blur,
And when he finished,
the Faerie listened to his contented purr.
It was then that she realized
her job was more important than the rest,
for the way that Kougra looked at her
made her feel better than the best.
