How to draw an Anubis : Printable Version

Begin by drawing an almost circular shape. This will be your Anubis' head.

Then draw a circle below it. Join the two circles together, like so and you have drawn your Anubis' neck.

Now draw feet and legs onto your body. You will only be able to see three paws in this picture.

Draw two triangles on the top of your Anubis' head. These will become ears. Then draw another triangle shape for the muzzle.

Add a little detail by drawing toes on each paw. Draw in the lower jaw and tongue. Finish off the muzzle with a small circular nose.

Erase some of your guidelines so you are left with something very similar to this.

Now draw an almond shape for your eye. You can only see one eye in this pose although an Anubis does have two. Inside the eye draw a curved line. This will become the pupil. Then add the collar shape around your Anubis' neck.

Draw around your Anubis' eye and add a little more detail to the collar. Your Anubis is now complete.

To really finish off your picture, try adding some colour or shading.
