How to draw King Altador : Printable Version

Start by making a medium-sized oval for Altador's head. Next, add two ears to the top of his head. Also, on the lower left side of the head, draw a rectangular shape for Altador's snout. Finally, make two medium-sized circles beneath the King's head for his shoulders. Connect the circle on your right to the head with a line, which will serve as the back of his neck.

Form the King's chest by making a few bent lines that come out from the bottom of each circle.

Next, draw the shape of Altador's beard, which flows down his chest. Under the circle you made for the King's right shoulder (on your left), make a bent line that will act as a guideline when you draw the Lupe's arm. Make a square at the end of that line, which will soon become Altador's hand. For his left arm (on your right), make a slightly curved line beneath the shoulder circle. Lastly, add another curved line that comes out from the back of the King's neck for his cape.

At this point, your drawing should look something like this.

It's now time to begin drawing the King's shining armour. First, make some curved lines across his chest for his breastplate. Next, on his shoulders, draw the spot where his cape connects to his armour. Also, be sure to add some detail to the cape behind him.

Finish the King's armour by giving him some shoulder guards. Also, draw in the shapes of his arms, remembering to make them rather thick (because of his armour). Then, make the square that you drew for his right hand (on your left) into a clenched fist.

The wise and noble King needs a face, so draw his stern eyes with their furrowed brows above them. Also, include a nose to the end of his snout. Give Altador's ears a little more detail, and make some simple designs on the shoulders of his armour. Finally, draw his long, windblown hair, which sweeps across his forehead and trails off behind him.

Erase any extra lines that are left on your drawing, and then finish the King's snout by drawing his mouth. Next, add some texture to his beard and fur. Lastly, include a bit of scaly texture to the King's arms and a pattern for his gauntlets.

Your drawing is almost finished! Darken Altador's pupils, add a few finishing details, and erase all of your extra lines.

Colour in your drawing and give it lots of shading, so it has depth and realism. Now you should have your very own picture of Altador's legendary King!
