How to draw the Court Jester : Printable Version

Start by drawing a circle for the Jester's head. Then, make a long, curving line to serve as a guide when you draw his body and tail.

Lightly sketch a pair of crossed lines on the circle. The horizontal line should extend a bit past the edge of the circle. These lines will help you later on when you're drawing the Jester's face. Next, draw his long Blumaroo snout on the bottom of the head circle. Then, make a large oval on the long, curving line you drew in the first step to create what will become his body. Finally, make four curved lines that extend from the body oval for his arms and legs.

Create two small arcs on either side of the Jester's nose for his mouth. Then, draw a line parallel to the top of the guide line you drew in the first step to form his neck. Next, add ovals to the ends of his arms and legs for his hands and feet. Finally, make the Jester's bouncy Blumaroo tail.

It's now time to start working on his jester's clothing, along with some other details. First, draw three long, wavy lines coming from the top of the Jester's head. These will become the floppy parts of his jester's hat. Put a small circle at the end of each of these lines, as well as at the end of the Jester's tail. Lastly, draw two small circles at the base of the Blumaroo's arms for his puffy sleeves.

Erase any extra lines you might have. Then, give some more shape to the Jester's arms and legs, along with drawing his paws. Next, give his face a bit of detail by making tiny circles for his eyes and adding a grin to the Court Jester's mouth.

Finish the Jester's floppy cap, and draw a matching collar on his chest, complete with tiny circles for the bells on it. Then, add a few circles above the Jester's head and one in his left hand (which is on your right) for the starberries that he's juggling.

Add some more detail to your drawing by making pairs of short, slightly curved lines on the Jester's clothing and cap. Now, make the circles he's juggling into starberries. Also, give his face a bit more expression by drawing some eyebrows above his eyes and making his grin even wider.

Your drawing of the Blumaroo Court Jester is almost complete! All that's left to do is give it some colour. You can use a variety of materials to colour your drawing, from crayons to a computer program!
