How to draw Jazan : Printable Version
| Start by drawing a large circle for the top portion of Jazan's head. Under the circle, draw a squarish shape with curved sides to form his chest. |
| To complete Jazan's head, add a curved line that connects to the bottom of the head circle you just drew. Also, lightly sketch a vertical line down the centre of the head to serve as your guide when creating Jazan's face. To make Jazan's right shoulder (the one on your left), draw a small circle near the upper lefthand corner of the body shape. Jazan's left arm (on your right) is more stretched out than his right, so for his left shoulder, make an oval in the upper righthand corner of the body shape. Next, add two medium-sized circles under the shapes that you just drew for Jazan's shoulders. These will be his paws. The circle for his right hand should be closer to the shoulder circle, because his right arm is bent at a sharper angle than his left. |
|
| Draw two curving lines that go from the top of Jazan's head to his chest. These will form the sides of his headdress. Also, from the bottom corners of the body shape, make a pair of slightly curved lines for Jazan's lower body. |
| To begin drawing Jazan's Kyrii ears, make two, slightly bent lines on the top of his head. Draw a curved line across Jazan's forehead and, using a pair of downward sloping lines, connect it to the lines that you made for his headdress. Link his right shoulder to his right hand (on your left) with another pair of curved lines. To make his left arm (on your right), draw a sloping line from the inside edge of his shoulder to the hand circle. Next, make another sloping line from the outer edge of Jazan's shoulder oval, but don't connect it to the hand circle. This is because Jazan's cuff will go there. Next, create the basic form of his belt by drawing a pair of curved, horizontal lines just below where Jazan's chest shape meets his lower body. From the bottom edge of the belt, add a line for the fold of his robe. |
|
| It's now time to add some more detail to your drawing. First, erase any extra lines that you might have. Then, draw a shape in the center of the forehead line you drew; this will be the snake ornament on Jazan's headdress. Next, finish off Jazan's ears by making a pair of wavy lines that lead from the sides of his head to the tips of the first ear lines you drew. Remember that Jazan's left ear (the one on your right) will be smaller because his head is turned. Make a very short line from Jazan's jaw to his headdress for his neck, then add a curving shoulder pad to each of his shoulders. Next, draw a y-shaped line across Jazan's chest for the overlapping fold of his robe, and then make two curving lines behind Jazan for his flowing cloak. Finally, sketch in a pair of curved lines just above Jazan's right wrist (on your left) for his right cuff, and three curved lines just above his left wrist for his left cuff. |
| Give Jazan some accessories by drawing a hooklike shape in his right ear for the outer edge of his earring. Make a second curved line under the line you drew earlier across his forehead, and begin to add detail to the snake ornament there. Next, draw a pair of curving lines from Jazan's chin to his chest for his beard. Add some trim to his robe, more detail to his belt, and finish off his left shoulder pad (the one on your right) with a curving line. Finally, turn his hand circles into clenched fists and add some curved lines to his left upper arm for decoration. |
|
| Draw some short, curved lines on Jazan's clothing and headdress to indicate folds and wrinkles in their fabric. Finish his earring by giving it an inside edge that matches the outer edge, and add another small, round earring above it. Also, hint at the earring in his left ear (the one on your right), by making a short loop on the bottom of his left ear. Then, draw an ornament at the end of his beard with a few very short, curved lines. Lastly, include two curved wedge-shapes on either side of the vertical guideline for Jazan's eye markings, a wide 'U' shape on the guideline for his nose, and some markings on his cheeks. |
| Erase any extra lines that you may have. Jazan is a prince, so his clothing needs a lot of rich textures and details. Put some lines on his headdress and the trim on his robe, cuffs, cloak, and sleeves for decoration. Next, give the cobra on his crown a pair of eyes and a few lines on its hood. Add some small accents to his earrings, a pattern to his cuffs, and a stripey, braided pattern on his beard. To put a wicked expression in Jazan's eyes, draw two slanted almond shapes in the eyes that you drew, and include a few lines inside them to indicate his pupils. |
|
| Your drawing of Jazan is almost finished! Erase all of your extra lines. |
| Shade the markings on Jazan's face and around his eyes black, and then darken the trim of his headdress and lower edge of his robe. |
|
| Give your drawing some colour and dramatic shading with crayons, coloured pencils, or even a computer program. You should now have your very own drawing of Jazan, Prince of Qasala! |
