Neopets - How to draw Bruno

How to draw Bruno : Printable Version

Start by drawing a large circle for the upper part of Bruno's body. Then, make two much smaller ovals for his head and lower body. The head oval should overlap the large circle a bit, while the body oval should be below the large circle. Next, lightly sketch a pair of crossed lines on the head oval; these will help you later on when you're drawing Bruno's face. Finally, make a line between Bruno's upper body and his lower body. This line will act as a guideline when you construct Bruno's body.

Create Bruno's collar by making a crescent moon shape along the top edge of the head oval. Then, on the bottom of the head oval, draw Bruno's snout.

Erase your extra lines. Next, draw the short sleeves of Bruno's shirt. His right sleeve (which is on your left) will be partly hidden by his head. Then, connect Bruno's upper body to his lower body with two lines.

It's now time to start working on Bruno's huge, muscular forearms. To do this, make two large rounded diamond shapes beneath his sleeves for his hands, and then add a curved crescent moon shape to the top of both of them for his forearms.

Next, finish Bruno's arms by connecting his forearms to his sleeves and drawing his fingers

Erase any extra lines you might have. Then, draw Bruno's legs by making two rounded tube-like shapes beneath his body. His left leg (on your right) is bent, so make that tube shape at an angle. Finally, add a foot to each of his legs.

Draw Bruno's trousers, which will connect his lower body to the leg shapes you just made.

Clean up your drawing a bit by erasing your extra lines. Then, add Bruno's long Gelert ears to the top of his head, and draw his pointed tail behind him. Finally, add a nose to the end of his snout and make his eyebrows.

Poor Bruno was mutated by the potion, so draw some spikes that run down his back and tail, along with a set of pointed claws. Also, give him a rumpled head of hair, and add a bit of furry texture to his arms.

It's now time to put some detail into Bruno's face. Draw his bulging eyes, darken his nose, and make his open mouth. Since Bruno grew when he drank the potion, his clothes are torn, so make their edges ragged. Lastly, give him a pair of shoes with buckles and a tie.

Your drawing is almost finished! All it needs before you colour it is a bit of extra detail. First, erase any extra lines you have left, and then add some holes and rumples to Bruno's clothes. Give a little detail to his ears, dot the pupils in his eyes, and your drawing is complete!

Colour in your drawing of Bruno using anything you'd like, from crayons and coloured pencils to a program on your computer. Be sure to include plenty of shading to make this gentle-hearted giant of a Gelert really come to life!
