After more than a month of furious competition, a champion has finally been declared in this year's Altador Cup tournament. Despite the fact that most were predicting a victory in the finals for top seed Krawk Island, a third straight trip to the finals proved to be the charm for Roo Island, who pulled out a narrow win in the championship match. Though the contest for third (between the Lost Desert and Shenkuu) wasn't quite as close as the championship competition, you'd be hard-pressed to find a spectator who witnessed the Lost Desert's hard-fought triumph over Shenkuu that didn't feel as though they got their money's worth. So then, until the next Altador Cup tournament, congratulations to the victors from Roo Island and better luck next year to everyone else!
